Since I'm seeing so much new stuff at Dreamhack (p250 saves? buying scout after winning pistol round? Incendiary grenades?), I'd like to see if there's any guides for returning competitive players. Most of 1.6 type of buys are still pretty valid. P250 has just replaced the deagle as eco gun since it has sick armor pen (1shot has at close range), really cheap ($300) and fairly accurate.
Current trend has been getting rifles instead of smgs after wining pistol round just to counter the p250 + head armor eco buy from the opposing team.
Standard full buy is still rifle/armor/smoke, 2xflash, he grenade. Incindiaries can be useful ct side to stop rushes.

Lol, second game in a row I'm paired with all gold stars. This is fucking stupid if people at a high rank play with unraked people it should put them in a game with all high ranked people. Don't handicap someone because others are trying to abuse the system.

So sad NiP lost but also at the same time its really good for the pro scene that another team won a major lan, to much of 1 team dominating was getting a little old. But on the same thought its kinda nuts that they got so outplayed on Train vs Fnatic, really surprised me that one.
Off topic do we have a trade thread here for CS stuff? I'm dying to trade some things for one of those knife skins!

Even without shown rank, you still have some rating that plays into your matchmaking. Probably the rating shifts around a lot in the first few games, thus even unranked people queuing with higher ranked friends migth end up pretty high up.. The system can't magically know your skill level off the bat.

I'm only Master Guardian 2 but I've played since 1.4 original CS, years of CS:S, and almost a year of GO and I'm starting to be consistently effective in my games aka not get carried as often.
See ya'll in game!
I tried finding the TL group, is it actually team liquid or TL? It said only one member in the team liquid one....... Could you post a direct link?

I was the last person left and I made a mistake in a competitive match on dust 2 as T, I came under the bridge to the bombsite and got shot, my team voted to kick me... is this how CS is? It was my fourth game!
If these people are so elite at the game why are they playing with randoms!

Yeah its really annoying sometimes. I got kicked once because I was 0-3 following a pistol round loss and 2 eco losses...
Btw I hate the goddamn P90, screw that thing -.-

I'm loving the OP90, honestly it's a better buy than rifles if your aim isn't super grooved yet.

If these people are so elite at the game why are they playing with randoms! Happend to me a lot too at first. Eventually you'll stop making terrible plays but if you get paired with a stack or something, yes you can sometimes get kicked too for no real reason.
And on the top of that, you also get many negative comments on your plays even if they are not bad (or you just had different reasoning), just get used to that. And if anyone makes stupid sounds/shouts to you when you're trying to win being last man standing on your team, just mute them (press tab, select the player with arrows (up/down) and press enter, then check "block communication").

If anyone makes any noise during a clutch that isn't helpful, i report them for comm abuse and mute

Really? Is ESEA the only way to get around hacking?

Leetway, altPUG, and FACEit are other (free) alternatives. But really, if someone wants to cheat in ESEA or other private server systems, there's nothing stopping them. Also, playing bravo maps there aren't many cheaters, although there are a load of very good people on new $2 accounts rolling over everybody.

ESEA has a client that you need to run during matches, in my experience I haven't come across many hackers at all. Maybe a suspicious wallcheck here and there, nothing blatant in several seasons. Not sure how it works techwise with GO.

It's another layer of security, one which is more effective than VAC, but there are still cheaters (as you can see). There are far fewer on ESEA than MM.

Played like 50 games the past 2 weeks. Hacking isnt that much of a issue. Havent seen a single one in atleast three days now. ESEA is for sure best although the europe side is really annoying i do like the american one.

There are not that many cheaters on MM than ppl think. At least in EU. Have been watching some games through that review option ingame and most of the time ppl are simply playing better than the rest. I have seen one real cheater so far but he played really bad. I would still play Competitve until you get a feel for every gun and improve your aim, then switch to whatever in your country is best for ladders and competitive play.

Wait till you start the jumping P90 YOLOCOD style. Then you'll really love the P90.
