I can't even find what the sensei's native DPI is... Protip, just ignore whatever someone is telling you, find the settings you are most comfortable with, unless you realize that your mouse is indeed skipping pixels, your settings are just fine. Even a lot of progamers use "wrong" mousesettings, this sort of discussion falls under the same category as "mechanical or membran keyboard?": find what is fitting you and your needs, no offense, but the chances that you can take advantages of a setup with more expertise behind it is absurdly low. If you still feel the need to use "optimal settings" its a little bit more difficult than just using the lowest dpi(which most pepole mean when saying "native DPI"), you normally have to take your resolution, mousspeed (both windows and gamespeed, depending on the input-settings) into account before choosing the "perfect" dpi. If you are really interested in it feel frewe to PM, discussing this sort of stuff is mostly useless, because there is so much false-knowledge floating around.

I can't even find what the sensei's native DPI is... I think the mouse automatically uses a native step whatever you set it on (it uses 90 dpi steps, so say whatever you set it on, it will actually be 90,180,270,..810 etc, closest value under what you set it I believe). So you don't need to bother about that, just be aware that the DPI you set isn't the one actually used, and that to see a change you'll need to set it higher than the next step. Edit : Native sensor resolution I originally assumed that Steelseries was going to be using a similar SROM to Logitech, but along with the higher tracking rates, it's fair to say that this might be Avago's recently added SROM A0 The native CPI range on this sensor seems to be 90-5670 in steps of 90. What does this mean? The Sensei doesn't really have 5700 CPI. 1 CPI= 90 CPI, 91 CPI-180 CPI= 180 CPI, 181CPI-270CPI=270 CPI... and so on. 5581-5700 is the same distance 360 wise. Anything over 5670 is simply just interpolation of the native CPI range. If we really want to get real technical, it only has a max interpolated CPI value of 11340. From overlock.net forums
