Catacombs can get annoying if it's too low, but overall, I don't think it's a major issue.
I've found that for leveling/getting to end parts of merciless, resists aren't that big an issue, even if it's low. Aside from the small areas as mentioned (merveil, sins, etc.), not being capped on resists won't hurt you as much - although it's obviously appreciated. I was running around with pretty terrible resists (sub-30) leveling my incinerator on Nemesis all the way up until merciless Piety. The only one I was worried about was lightning due to storm herald, but even then, it wasn't that big an issue because of life leech.

No zone in the game is more frustrating without capped lighting res than Barracks. Those stupid arc mobs shoot you offscreen and stun you if you don't have high enough res.

The arc mages are super annoying, combined with the charging soldiers that get the lightning armor from them, it's so easy to get wrecked

advice is help though, you see people wearing all sorts of crap at lvl 70 and wonder how they got past ledge with their dinky 80 dps bow though.
EDIT: not saying that guy is doing something, but some times there are pretty simple, cheap improvements that can make gameplay much better. for example, i was using some random 2h to level my scion, then i discovered geofri's and life was great.

Having an arcmage spectre and having her cast lightning thorns on your super zombies is pretty hilarious though.
I have a setup where I have 1 arcmage, 2 burnt miscreations, a bunch of zombies and a spork totem. Lightning thorns on shocked enemies is great revenge.

Yeah well im thinking of transfering my Scion gear over. Didnt want to do that but apparently finding new gear is hard lol. my scion has maxed resists+ 3.3k hp at 79. I am following the vaal pact/LA build in POE forums, the shorter version with 110points to finish.
My gear is pretty crap, using Grace to buff my total armor up to 4k while waiting for my reduced mana gem to level up enough to run Grace/Hatred.
resist are at 72/57/41 with 2019hp.using a 150dps bow right now because next bow upgrade is at level 66. Will be changing to a 258dps rare Imperial Bow at 66. Saving currency to buy a Lioneye's Glare.
Im thinking to spend some chaos on tri-resist evasion gear.

Real justice would be him divining several times and it still having a 5x roll. Watch him blessed+divine and end up with an 8x total.

Well he isnt taking it out until the new leagues I expect, although I'd assume he'll have a divine by the 2 week mark in the new league anyway. We shall see.

I'm a few pages late on this but in regards to the TS server..
There used to be a PoE Channel that Mango made but once we stopped using it, I think it got deleted after that. So if you guys want one made you'll probably have to ask Mango since he should still be one of the people in charge of the TS server.
