Blitz, apparently people claim that the CoC nerf means skills like LA that hit 4 times at once can only activate it once. But Split Arrow + Chain should be basically unchanged as long as you use only one spell with it. Edit: Apparently it's only to fix crashes and is barely noticeable... someone test it already. | ||

Level 75 ranger. I can't farm maps with a party because for some reason when I 6 stack I get disconnected from server after about 3-5 mins and can't return to the map I was farming. All I can do is farm maps solo and at the moment the highest level map I can safely farm is 68 and some 69 maps. My problem is that my gear is okay but not good enough to progress any further. I also have to sacrifice IIR for resists, so the drops are utter shit most of the time and drops are worth nothing more than a few chaos every now and then, if I'm really lucky. At the moment I don't have the kind of currency to trade for better gear and so far I have only found 1 exalted orb the entire time I've played. I have only ever found 1 5 link item and it was some shitty 2 handed normal staff that nobody wanted and I couldn't use either. At the moment my body armour and bow are 4 linked. I've looked around for 5link stuff but rare items that have the kind of damage I currently do range around 10-20 exalted. I could buy normal items with 5links that cost around 10-20 chaos and try to roll them but I would probably waste more currency to get it to a decent level that it probably isn't worth it. So I'm not sure what I should do? Drop resist for the extra magic find and hope for sellable drops at the expense of xp or should I just keep on leveling to progress to better maps? Or is there something else I'm missing? | ||

That level of maps at that level is fine, just focus on having cap res, high hp,and then as much damage as you can with hp/cap res. | ||

Hp isn't a problem atm, I'm doing a high hp, and strength no crit frenzy/ lighting arrow build. I do about 5k dps with max frenzy charges. My biggest problems are chaos resist (-35) and probably armour which is at about 3k. I'm using hyrris ire, but it isn't doing much really, I'm trying to get rid of it and find something better. Can't find anything with comparable armour (have the evasion to armor passive) | ||

One that actually has life and resists, and a non-negative armor total. That will make everything else much easier. Hell, a tabula rasa might be MORE DEFENSE than your current chest and is also a 6link and they cost an exalt and change afaik. | ||

Yes it halves my armor, but even with that, the chest piece alone still gives me 1k+ armour after reduction. I know it's shit, but drops have been that bad for me. As I said before, I've picked up 1 exalt since I've started playing, and haven't picked up anything close to that value. That's exactly why I'm stuck. Did you even read my post? | ||

Are you using the chaos recipe? It's an excellent way to build wealth. There's no way you can be level 75 and truly poor unless you are blowing currency on retarded stuff. I scrounged up to my very first exalt on a 66 char that never made A3 merci (no I didn't find it). I dont know what your passive tree looks like (a link may help) but if a 5L bow around your damage range is 10-20 exalts then you should be shitting all over content with no worries. Thats lioneyes range aka 300dps on a bow which is pretty nuts for 75 untwinked. I maintain that hyrri's ire is negative armor for you since you should be using jade/granite flasks which are much better than the armor from your chest but get halved by it. Roll a jade of reflexes and a granite of iron skin and run around pressing those a lot. | ||
