Nevertheless I had a look at it and since I've been messing around with max aura builds lately I began to wonder. Skilling all reduced reserved mana passives gives 46%. Blood magic (mortal conviction) are another 40%. Alphas Howl are 8%. Prism Guardian has 25% reduction. And the reduced mana gem provides another (multiplicative?) reduction. I really wonder how all these things stack up... | ||

Because, its a multiplier. See, if you multiply 1 by 1/2 twice, you get .25. If you SUBTRACT 1/2 from 1 twice, you get zero. Hence, when attempting to use auras, "Reduced" is better than "less". Note htat when trying to raise things aka DPS, addition is much weaker than multiplication so "more" is better than "increased". Clear as mud? good. PS: I'm running 8 auras. 6 on mana (60 60 60 40 40 40) and 2 on life (60 and a 40). I have 4 mana unreserved (about 1%). I've done the math and tested. So the tree gives you 46% reduced, alphas howl ADDS 8%, which puts you at 54% reduced. Prism guardian ADDS 25% reduced so you are at 79% reduced. That then MULTIPLIES with the reduced mana gem. Note that prism guardian only supports the auras in it. so you get (.6)*(.21)*(.71) for the cost of a 60% aura. | ||

In that case you could also pretty much stop playing that char completely, because you beat everything and have everything. Imo the best gear is the one with which you can a) clear everything safely and not too slowly, and b) get heaps of gear for other chars /builds you'll do afterwards when you get bored | ||

not sure if i should go for 6L with it. would be worth from an ev perspective. 6l astral with top chaos, 100+ resists, 1.4k armor and perfect life is worth a lot. but it's always a risk. | ||

Level 1 empower to level 2 takes more xp than all other gems to go from level 1 to 20. Most gems take around 300 million xp to hit 20. Empower takes 1.7 billion to hit level 3. (around 300 million to hit level 2.) Basically if you socket an Empower at level 1, it will be at level 2 at about 80, and at level 3 at 93~ or so. The ultimate endgame gem. | ||

Idk, I just know that I found my Empower at like lvl 82 and it's already lvl 1 and 10% at lvl 86 3/4. I'm not farming efficient zones though, mostly still playing crappy lvl 68/69 maps. Though I did not see how much difference it is from lvl 1 to 2 and from 2 to 3, which seems to be huge. | ||
