Got an EK Witch in Onslaught Merciless a2 now. Life-based
I remember having issues with Kraityn in Cruel; most of the other bosses I've found can be cheesed but I don't think I can do that on a Flicker Strike user.
So questions: a) How hard do Merciless Kraityn and Oak hit for? b) Any anti-Flicker-strike strats out there? Would be nice to be able to do something besides tank it because my HP is total trash
Thanks

Believe it or not, the act 2 bandits are much easier than you think, with that said the only thing you can/must do against flicker strike mobs is do not run/move. Stand there and kill it, put decoy totems at your own feet, so the mob does not flicker to the totem, then back on your face in rapid succession

If you're EK specced you can probably solo it. I usually just afk farm fellshrine until there's a bandit group up though. Then you don't have to waste time if it doesn't work out, so you level faster. In my experience getting to Kraithlyn alive is harder than to kill her.

I don't have much experience with EK, but if you're having a hard time against Kraitlyn, my suggestion would be to use a Skele Spell Totem and probably Enfeeble and/or Temp Chains.

1. Definition of skill: A skill is the learned ability to carry out pre-determined results often with the minimum outlay of time, energy, or both.
So, skill and knowledge and not mutually exclusive. Most skills in life need large amounts of knowledge.
2. I've never had someone PM me back saying I ripped them off. Usually they are just really happy to get the item. Nothing forces them to sell and nothing forces them to buy. If they are so concerned that they will be scammed then they should be doing research into the price of an item. The most fun spots usually happens when you want to buy a cheap item with a stable price (e.g. I tried to buy a LMP earlier) and like 5 people whisper you with "1 alch" / "1 fuse" and then there's this one guy that whispers you with linking the item and "2 chaos". Suprisingly enough overcharging works a lot of the time. If someone really wants something they will usually pay a bit extra. When I started my elemental hit templar (kripp spec) I ended up paying 2 chaos for ranged attack totem and 3 chaos for elemental hit, just because I wanted to go back to killing stuff instead of spamming trade chat. But yeah I wish there was more stable prices in general. Yesterday I was in some random map group, and I asked what Moonsorrow was worth (unique imbued wand), only answer I got was "3-12 chaos". So since I had above average rolls on mine I tried selling it for 8. And 1 guy ended up shit talking me in whispers...
I'm trying to pick up a meginord's girdle on onslaught. I actually got an exalted drop in the twilight strand while facebreaking cruel hillock repeatedly (had ~15-16 chaos value total maybe before that) and now I'm at a loss as to how to actually turn it into the item I want. Let alone what the girdle costs, Kripp can get it for 8 chaos but I ain't no Kripp.
On a side note, facebreakers are an incredibly fun and powerful leveling item, with girdle you can break 1K dps at level 16 I think. Just make sure to check for elemental reflect before added fire damage/melee splash/infernal blowing a mob of ~15 zombies on Fellshrine so you don't nearly have a heart attack like me.

I could swear I saw Meginord's for ~5 chaos last night in the trade chat. Is it really that expensive usually? o.o

No idea, only recently started shopping for it. I've seen sellers trying to grab 15+ chaos with good rolls in Onslaught (I don't really care much about the rolls, though) but no one's buying at those prices and I'll probably settle for a half-decent one for <10 chaos. Doesn't help that Kripp is using it.
I just want to shore up my life and pop my dps to the next level for Cruel Vaal. Currently using a +43 str belt with 15% lightning res and 1.0 regen/sec, which is an amazing leveling belt, but I'd rather be able to one-shot everything again for the next few zones instead of two-shotting.

lvl 13 crab just gave me Andvarius, guess it's karma for me helping some lowbie and giving him free yellow sword

Well, haha. We were a three man group. I died after 10 mins so had to remake. We were pushing it hard after and were almost done with act 3 when both my mates died (our duelist was buffed to a point of invincibility almost, we gave him all our gear, he had 600 life, 250dps on cleave and was one shotting everything), after he died I was left with no gear, we had already done sins, western and vaal ruins so the two of us went to kill kraytin, my buddy (witch) misclicked when he tried to log and died.
We were all in the top 10, then Bob (first ranger) died and my friends told me that second ranger was 2 levels behind me. So instead of pushing to act 3 I grinded chamber of sins till lvl 27 all by myself for 60 minutes and finished a little less than 1 level ahead of second ranger. We were actually pushing for lvl 33-34, but there's not much you can do when your most geared up player dies and it honestly wasn't worth the risk of losing the Demi to try and push Act3. I finished 17th overall but we were all in the top 10-15 until both my mates died. They were 2nd witch and 2nd duelist respectively when they died. I don't know if you know Ghudda, but he's the buddy of mine that played Duelist. He was 7th place or so when he died (overall).
A thing of beauty:

No idea how much they are selling for.
Here is a pic, they actually came with the micro effect "golden path".

Made 32nd overall in the 135min Race, 7th ranger, but it was only a party of 3, so our clear speed through act 2 was extremely slow. :S
edit: Actually placed 31st overall and 6th ranger, because one guy ahead of me died.

Apologies for quoting myself, but I really would like some input.

Bandit rewards are 40 life, 8% attack speed, skill point. [Edit] I should probably mention that this is Onslaught.

Onslaught people, what do you guys value 5L items at? Is there a general guideline that makes sense? ;;

A typical build should plan for ~90 points, with some sort of plan for up to 105 points (which would be level 86 in your case). Second, I don't quite like the idea of the build. I think getting more AoE is better for survivability with Cleave at that point, and Shock isn't that important if you ever party due to the prevalence of dual spork builds, LA, etc. Third, I'd wait for the coming Ranger changes to plan a Cleave build. There are some juicy nodes in there, and it's only a few days away, but these days don't even count since they'll be spent watching Evo2013.
On another note, grats Slix on the Demi. Time for us to step it up and bring more glory to TL!

I'm currently level 69 using these passives, getting ready to push through act 2. I'm just trying to get correct socket colours to fully optimize my gems so I can run 4 auras (Anger, Determination, Purity, and Grace) and be able to cast Enduring Cry. I think my Cleave DPS is something like 1300-1400 with Anger and only a 4L (Blood Magic, Life Leech, WED), so with Conductivity it gets the job done in level 60 zones. On the upside, I've only used 1 respec point. Remember, the original build is elemental damage only, but I changed a few things around to try to account for the physical DPS buffs and elemental DPS nerfs. I'm generally a solo, self-found player, so the party desirability isn't really a concern for me. I'd play something else if I was keen on parties.
As for skill point spending, I just like to map the builds out to level 100, even though I'd have to think of what ~15 points I wouldn't mind not spending until much, much later (Maps), if at all.

That guide is quite outdated now. There's a couple of big changes, the critt nodes have been buffed significantly, Concentrated effect and multistrike is in the game (both has HUGE mana multipliers). CI > life by far.
You went the weird way to up static blows, if you go the way that it is in the kripp spec you can get inner force, which is an absolute amazing talent by the way. It's huge in 6-man parties, but it's pretty good if you're solo as well.
Been a while since I played ele cleave, but your 2 main auras should be Anger and Wrath. Both provide insane dps increase, assuming you have fast attacking weapons + inner force. The other auras is really up to what you need, if you have to drop one to get wrath I'd go with dropping Determination and keeping Purity. Resist is an absolute must in this game if you're melee. You can't really offscreen caster mobs, but you can pull few melee mobs at the time. And talking about resists, maybe you forgot to put it in, but the +2 to max resist is really good as well.
Your dps should be way above 1300-1400. I don't have your gear/character in front of me so I can only go by assumptions, but anyways. Hybrid cleave sucks. Pick either one or the other (both are very good), then focus on survivability. The dps will come once you have better gear/the insane support gems (conc effect/multistrike). Most of ele cleave dps comes from fast attacking weapons which don't even need to be good rares, just some simple transmutes on some fast attacking weapons is all you need. Those require dex though, and I don't know all the stats of you char, but I know from experience that you usually end up lacking some dex which is why the 30 dex node right before inner force is huge + a dex amulet.
I think I had around 2.8k dps with a blue wep I transmuted + a lvl 30ish rare sword on merciless ledge last time I played it, The survivability was kinda shitty, but doesn't matter that much when you oneshot blues/3shot rares.
This kinda turned into some rambling since it's almost 4am, but anyways TLDR - grab the free respec points to go the proper way to static blows, I assume you need the 30 dex node for proper fast weapons, inner force is huge, cleave gem for ele spec should not be leveled because all the best support gems to the build has insane mana multipliers. And I never had any use for life leech gem while leveling. Simply run past anything you don't kill in 3 hits.
