Unless somebody desperately needs chaos resistance I don't see the item selling. For a map drop it simply isn't very good and you can find much better stats if you don't care about sockets/links. You're slightly underestimating the defensive stats since it has 1060 combined defense (after quality); puts it on the high end of mediocre. If the second resist roll was good I'd probably pay a chaos or two for it on a new merciless character (this would be a low ball offer though).
The value of mediocre rares is largely what the person buying them is willing to shell out rather than having a stated value. How much you want for them is dependent on how poor you are and how fast you want to move items out of your stash. Since you're farming maps (assumed due to item level) you can find plenty of mediocre items like that with two or three good rolls and sub-par links relatively quickly. Once your stash is full of them you'll part with them for whatever somebody is going to pay you for it, whether that is a few alterations or a chaos orb or more if they're really desperate for whatever reason. You might also hold onto it until you get a GCP offer or so because there are lazy people who will pay a lot for items that they need.
The ideal prefixes for a non-CI armor piece would be %increased, flat increase, and the max life roll. Hybrid pieces can get the flat rolls just as high as pure pieces, although their %increased roll requires a higher ilvl.
Guys, you can unlink your reduced mana once you cast your auras and transfer it to another slot without it affecting your reserve! I am running 6 auras and only need 1 reduced mana gem to reduced the reserve for all 6!
I bought an aegis aurora recently and can't say I'm disappointed. The proc works out great and with a granite popped its 1320 energy shield (33k armour) back per block.
These one week races seem almost required to keep up with the market, it feels like if you can't do 74+ maps for whatever reason, then the only way to make currency reliably is through there. I'm curious how the month race is going to go, if too many people play it the HC economy might be flat for quite some time.
My wander in softcore is almost ready to start mapping, just need 2-3 more pieces of gear (ring, belt, boots) and I should be able to run the few maps I have accumulated.
If anyone wants to farm City of Sarn with me or run low level maps within the next week or so, I'm usually on late at night. PM me here or message YamatoSegundo in softcore.
For that matter, if you have a 70+life, ele damage, 30+ fire resist ring/belt you don't mind letting go for cheapish, I would be highly interested.
Boots I can wait on, because what I need is expensive (4L, life, resist, move speed, armor)

The HC population is just more vocal. There are people playing default (like the guy who posted above you among others).

I have a 26 fire resist and life belt (98life+31 STR) if you're interested. Doesn't have ele damage though.

I play default, too. HC is more challenging - but I lost too many characters to desyncs and too few to actual miscues to continue trying to play HC (compared to other games like D3 and TL2, maybe that's just me).
Plus, the high end map content punishes you "enough" for dying anyway (in that you can only die a handful of times before it doesn't let you return to that map) - so really, the motivation for HC (which is that the game is really easy if you don't mind dying - you can kinda just rezzwave all the content down and get the same items you'd have gotten if you did it without dying) is somewhat mitigated by the fact that you can't do this in maps and still get drops.
Quite honestly, I find Path of Exile's softcore to be the "just-right" balance for me, between making death largely irrelevant and making death so huge a deal that it can actually ruin more than a week's worth of effort.

Feels like the HC market is nuked to oblivion. Someone just said, if you can't get effectively do 72+ maps you aren't getting jack. Nobody buys anything under level 50 anymore......BARELY. As a casual HC gamer...like I can't do shit. I need to get carried.

Well, I solo'd to 66 spending maybe 10 chaos total on gear. Had capped resists 4K+ life etc. Sure 10 chaos ends up being a lot but you should easily find that much currency on a run to ~65 (without really selling anything either, although I got lucky and found/sold a 5-link and an andvarius ring). I'll also admit that I was playing about the easiest spec in history (ground slam life-nodes marauder with IR and that cant-miss keystone). I died in 1 hit to a vaal smash but it wasn't desync it was me not being smart (forgetting to granite and quicksilver as I ran away lol). I definitely made a profit off of that character (given that I'm sitting on almost 3 exalts of currency atm, with no character above level 10).

actually according to some statistics taken from etup(streamer) and GGG neon running 66-68maps will net you more currency then running higher level maps(70+) The reason why is because the investment of running such high level maps consistantly is so high and often doesnt bring back a huge reward as most people expect.
I think the figure was around 15-20exalts spent in a day. The obvious reason why they continue to do higher level maps is that better items are more likely to drop and the xp is greater

Glorious plates are ilvl 68 and up (based on the level requirement of a white one), so they drop off of 66-zone rares, 67-zone champions and 68-zone white mobs (and everything above, of course). So basically maps
