next thing to try screwing around with is Leap Slam Marauder. YOU do not fight dangerous enemies and you don't go into side areas during race (including ones that give you additional skill points). | ||

Should be ok if its linked with like Added Fire Damage, Increased Melee Damage and something else like Weapon Elemental damage or maybe life leech. | ||

Ideally you should kill Brutus around ~25 mins, Merveil under 45, but it really needs to be closer to 20 and 40 if you want a top spot. Before the duelist buffs, Brutus was usually a lvl 9 kill and Merveil a 13 or 12 with good gear, now it's easily a level 8 and 12 kill. Not sure how it will impact the end XP, but 500k should be pretty easy now. | ||

chars: Zashah / lucador build: lvl 70++ frostcrit ci witch (currently ~11k dps on fp) with gmp spear prolif totem & lvl75+ lightning strike shadow running 4-6 auras other: usually on in eu evening/nighttime. doing maps maps maps! | ||

He cannot catch you when you keep running (without armor, no bonus movement speed) and he may stuck on another mobs/edge so you lose him anyway. There is no reason to kill mobs in there if you don't have to, so if you have to run with him all the way to graveyard, do it. Running in bigger packs is matter of experience, you just have to micro them (shoudn't be a problem for anyone playing Starcraft). I don't remember killing him ever... | ||

Most of my deaths are to getting stunned once by Hailrake, and getting killed by his minions. I try to pull them away, but sometimes, he snipes me. Another death was against Sawbones, I believe. Regardless, I'll try to skip more minibosses in future. The only sidequest I do is Medicine Chest. Oh well, time to practice more and hopefully be less bad. I'm going for a Cleave/Fire Trap Duelist build now for short races. Another place where I fall short I think is stuff like inventory/vendor micro. I feel I waste too much time with that, in terms of picking stuff up, vendoring stuff, and otherwise. | ||

I'm not sure if doing Medecine Chest is worth it for a Duelist in 1h races. You already get one fire trap from glyphs, and the quicksilver flask doesn't make up for the time wasted. I think if I was to do it, I'd do it from the Ledge or lower passage waypoint instead. Simply warp back to mud flats waypoint, run to hailrake, log out, waypoint back to the Ledge. At least that's the plan in 2-3h races. It's also a good idea to buy a medium life flask in lower prison if you haven't found one yet, and a level 8 weapon if you go 2h. Then buy a leather belt after Brutus. You should also check for Sapphire rings at level 10-11-12 (possibly 9?). Having 50%+ cold resist will save you a lot of time on Merveil. | ||

Playing my ele cleave templar based off nugiyen's in the 1week race, my god so fun. 1100dps cleave at level 34, with lvl 35 weapon that will boost it higher, and thats off only 1 aura(anger) killed piety in under 40 seconds. The gear minus 1 ring and a 4link pair of boots are from the 3 hour party race earlier today where i hit 29 solo in sarn | ||
