After dying with first character I played it too safe, but at least I will be able to get points towards my goal!

Shadow is a little bit better, inherently, than Ranger at the 1h races, but finding Silverbranch on Hillock is about the best RNG you could possibly hope for. If you did know what you were doing you probably could have hit top 10 easily with that drop and a little bit more luck along the way with your other gear. You have to know which zones to skip, when to take time to try to improve your gear, and how to balance survivability with killing power.

Rocky Clmib is among the most difficult areas in the game because of its elemental damage before you can wear resistance rings. Do like the good players and level to 8 or 9 in The Ledge before trying to crack Rocky Climb only characters not needing to worry about that is poison arrow, but if you die while using poison arrow, I would say you deserved it! for cheesing ![]()

Rocky Climb is the area where I kill basically nothing. Those puncture dogs are way too dangerous. The burning arrow archers kill you really fast. Run through it, and ignore most chests. Lower prison is really easy, so level there if you need to. This race, I had to create a new instance of lower prison because I had no medium life flask, no good weapon and I was only level 8. Thankfully, I found a lvl 8 weapon and a medium life flask right when I hit level 9, so I only wasted 2-3 minutes there.

I'm not sure for quanity, but i know item rarity is not affected by player rarity values and only the map % matters. I'd imagine for continuity sake, quantity works this way as well. I could be wrong though.

The %item rarity of an enemy killed is based off the item rarity% of the player/skill that landed the finishing blow. As a result, if you've got a system set up such that a guy with +300% item rarity on a 6-man man always gets every finishing blow, you essentially get +250% item quantity and +300% item rarity. Of course, that's like impossible to do (give all finishing blows to said player), but that give you the idea of how quantity/rarity system works in parties :3

I've never seen rarity not working in maps. Rarity only increases the chances of an item being magic/rare/unique. Why wouldn't this work in maps?

Him and his map buddies were talking about why item rarity as a stat isn't as valuable yet. They had a theory that it would go up though as people get stronger and act3/4 are fully released. How people could swtich from maps and farm high lvl areas with tons of rarity.
