Seriously, that ball was a one touch goal at such an angle. Amazing doesn't even begin to describe how well placed it was.

Well this season has been rather poor for the PL in terms of quality of play and it translates to how the top teams have been performing in Europe as well. I still love these matches, but you are two/three seasons late in terms of quality of play I'm wondering what Arsenal are going to do when they lose Van Persie.

I guess they'll have the last word when RVP FC goes back to being Arsenal FC and we're screwed next season.

RVP is simply amazing and the powers that be need to do everything possible to keep him at the club.

The game wasn't a particularly good advert for the league, but I didn't think it was that bad. Neither Liverpool nor Arsenal in their current state are 'tactically interesting'. But that's true of all the top leagues, with the slight exception of Serie A. Technically, the game was as good as any of the recent games I've seen between 4- to 8-ranked teams in any league. Both teams were sloppier in possession than, say, you would expect from La Liga, but they were also much more direct. (Although trying to use Suarez as the target man isn't exactly a bright idea.)

cronaldo messi rvp and zlatan are all playing fantastically. the latter two would be legitimate player of the year candidates in most seasons..
