I'm posting to ask if someone can tell me a legit server to play on so I can avoid this type of shit? I mean I bought the game because everyone vouched for it but when I get on its hackers and kids calling me a "pussy noob". I've been told go to esea whatever that is and then I get told from others not to that its just the same so can someone who still plays give me an idea of where to go? Don't want my money and download time for the game to be a total waste. :/ I don't wanna say you're wrong, but there's also a chance that the players you think cheat are actually just highly skilled. But obviously if they're blatantly aimbotting, speed hacking, wallhacking, etc. then you can disregard my post.

Yeah Reptile I'm talking about where every public server game I join there's always multiple people (usually 2-3) that are able to kill off entire teams on there own or just kill one another off at start and those that live kill the rest of opposing team so its blatant as you can get. I have looked into esea and since it costs money (cheap but I'm too broke atm lol) I can't get into that atm but I guess that is the only place that has antihacks updated and watched over all the time unlike steam.
Being new to CS in every way I'm just now realizing after a lot of online reading that Steam helped screw up 1.6 since they are the ones not keeping up with things. Makes me wonder about pubs in source as well though since esea's ban list from Source hackers is huge and has new ppl every day and I doubt they get banned as much on regular steam servers. Kind of a shame but I guess I just have to pay to play the game on esea as far as 1.6 is concerned (or just focus on source with you guys when your around TT).

Seems to be empty though... lets get some people in here!

There was a guy doing that the other day I told stickymayhem about him but the dude was changing his name each time he logged in so it's hard to get him IP banned unless a mod is on. :/ How are random douchebags getting into these two servers anyways? They have to have the IP address am I right? Which would mean there TL members and doing stupid shit like that can possibly warrant bans and warnings here as well if I remember correctly.

To the posts above: How come you enabled Friendly Fire? Remove it, please!
Also, are the servers growing in popularity?

edc I think the servers would be more active if we were using IRC to ensure people were online ready to play rather than just getting on, seeing its empty server, and logging off. Also people have been leaving because some guy has been team killing (hence your FF removal suggestion I'm assuming which would be smart to combat those types of jerks) people over and over and saying mean things as well while doing it. FF has been mean to me in my learning experience as well since I'm new I've killed and injured many team mates on the totally hard to see map Train. TT I swear the lighting on that map is brutal.

is this a non-steam server?

yeah this has been CS's worst problem. It HAS to be the most hacked game of all time its a shame because a good hacker is nearly impossible to call out, the only thing you can hope for is them to get bored, don't give them any type of attention cause that is all they really want. I think the main reason nothing raelly happens with it is because its good for bussiness to have people banned and rebuying accounts. So steam doesn't have much incentive to go after these douchebags.
The worst part when hackers who suck at the game start jumping on a guy for hacking who isn't even hacking. There is an unsaid rule between hackers, they try to "ride the line" of not abusing theyre hacks so much to the point that people don't notice yet they manage to keep a great score going. The problem is a great player looks like they are hacking and a hacker will have to start to bait themselves if they want to start killing that great player. But honestly seeing as how your a new to the game i doubt you were running into as many hackers as you thought.

I'd personally like to see the first server be a standard CS:S server with standard/competitive level maps. The second server should run GunGame of some variety.

No splinter9 read my second post after someone had asked if I had just "thought" they were hackers and they were just better than I am and that is not the case I'm saying every hacker that I'm saying I saw were the most obvious offenders you'd ever seen. I've been playing Sudden Attack for around 2 and a half months and that game taught me to recognize a blatant hacker over someone that's just good and could be hacking. I would never say someone was if I just was thinking it were so because they were doing good I'm talking about guys that are able to move across the entire map in a few seconds and that get kill after kill within same amount of time. I did notice some guys that got super good shots where without aim bot I don't think they would since they would have to be magic but I never would call them out since its not totally obvious.
I'm not on a hacker witch hunt out there or anything I'm saying the people in these pubs are simply laughing in voice chat about hacker on hacker fighting and calling me a "fucking noob" rather than just booting those players from the game. They have a mindset that shows each time in a different server I brought it up that they knew everyone had "a" hack on and that is was just how things are and apparently how they have been long before I ever discovered the game. But no I don't run around crying wolf because I could give a shit about a guy that makes constant clutch shots, that can be luck or skill before any hacking anyways.

A lot of people are just good. Really good.
I used to preaim headshots a lot when I played regularly. It's very easy because the common spots are routinely checked by better players. And in open areas, the better players shoot very well.
If you've played m4/ak deathmatch before, a guy there went like 60-0 in a 32 man server with almost all headshots. Completely legit. So don't jump to conclusions too easily.
If you want to make sure it's the same person who's cheating, open the console with Tilde, then type Status. It gives you something called the STEAMID beside each person's name. Hackers usually have 8 or 9 digit STEAMIDs because they're newer. Most good players will have less than 8. Some players have 4, which means they've been playing since release, and are really good. A lower digit STEAMID is worth more than a higher digit one.
Copy down the hacker's STEAMID and give it to other players to look out for. Much easier than i.p. checking.
