Jesus...reminds me of my first Christmas Steam sale lol. I spent like $100 during it. Lots of awesome games though, that's sure to keep you busy for a long time. On the topic of Goat Simulator, it's pretty fun to play in short bursts. It's neat that the physics are so crazy and you can just go ham on everything. I still haven't gotten anything else since I bought Mount and Blade lol. Child of Light went on sale but since it will likely sit in my backlog for awhile, I decided to pass on it and pick it up some other time maybe.

Euro Truck is kinda lolwut at first view, but after playing it a few times I would say it's pretty fun and good, especially when you got bored and go ham with an 18t trucks and got your bank wiped from all the fines @@. Anyway I bought a lot for my first steam sale as well, but now I learn that things keep coming back so each sale I will just get 2-3 games at top of my list and keep the rest as something to look forward to next sale

I really like open-map style games like Skyrim and Far Cry games. Those are the best kinds of RPG / FPS games imo. what are the good open-map RPGs? The witcher 2 had fantastic game play (very hard) but it doesn't feel open map, it seems you have minimaps which are like chapters or something? Dragon Age origins? Is that open-map? There was another, third person RPG that went for like €5 or something and was considered a good deal. Forgot the name, is it open(map ?

I havent played it inna while (Dragon age that is), but i think it was hub based? Maybe someone can confirm, i guess it was open world in the sense that you can pick where you want go and quest, but everything is kind of instanced, as in you cant just walk into the mountains you see across the map. There's a fairly linear path for each level and map. So might not be what you want, although i highly recommend it, one of my favorite games ever, im going to re-install it after sales are over and i finish up my other games.

I love the exploration / scouting aspect of open-world games as much as combat. I think half of my fun is poking at something that I can't beat and then running away to somewhere safe. I may pick of Dragon Age though since it's got a such a solid reputation. E: Yeah should have said that it's the linear path that I like to see not be there in games. ^^

Also incognito. If you like FC3, you will love and worship Dragon age. Not because it's the same kind (because it's not), not because it's open world (because it's not) but because Dragon age is a REALLY REALLY good game. The other one is .. well i already talk about that. Also you hurt me (who cares i know) by putting FC3 next to Skyrim. Also for RPG lover that never tried it. Mass effect = "Horrible gameplay", "Awesome awesome story line", "One of the best ending of video game". Basicly forget it looks like a FPS and your in. It's one of those game where you have to accept bad gameplay because it is REALLY ReALLY awesome. Kind of like SWKOTOR. It's a buy on first sight if you haven't got it yet.

Instead of spending a huge and incredibly majority of the time on making for the best gameplay and most dialogue and dialogue options and story and side-quests, it feels like they focused waay too much on graphics and voiceovers, which in my opinion resulted in a very limited experience. I got bored after a while and stopped playing maybe 75-80% of the way through the game. It's not bad, but I didn't care for it too much Outcast isn't an RPG, but it's a 3rd person adventure/shooter that is open world. I highly recommend it. It's not available on steam, but it should be on GOG I think.

Outcast ? good choice ![]() @Incognito i was mostly joking :p
