Does the engineer get something better to take out tanks? Medics C4 seems so much stronger assuming you can flank well.

You get mines and RPGs to take out tanks. Engi was by far the best class in the game, even on heavy infantry based maps. For God's sake their AS was better than the Medic's AS lol!

Especially since engineers also can carry the imbalanced weapons(say ump45) every other class can use, there is virtually no reason not to pick engineers on large maps.
Btw supports gets C4, not assault("medics")

Just started preloading holy crap I'm getting 10.1MB/s. EA has some niiiiiiiice servers for this, much better than Steam's.

They had said the maps were "double" the size of most BC2 maps but they never specified what maps they were referring to. But will the maps be as big as 1942, I would doubt it personally. But yeah I agree Caspian felt pretty good size, but who knows if the rest or any of the others will be that size even. I'm happy either way.
Oh and Taku I agree dude I was amazed at how fast that beta downloaded and tomorrow I'll start my pre download for the actual game and I figure it will take my shit connection around 8 hours. Compare that to SC2 client of only 7 gigs which took mine around 17 hours. lol (I really hope they have a "back to 1942" type of expansion because those old maps were honestly the best they ever made besides some in BF2)

Great thing about Steam servers is that you can change your download location or whatever it is which increases your speed significantly. Usually i get the highest speed i can get when i do so.
But yes, Origin servers are pretty nice when there isn't others downloading at the same time.

Wow, my heart stopped when i saw that picture of the maps comparison(i'm thinking if the picture is real then its probably for consoles since they are stuck at 24 players), i don't feel like it will be that small Caspian felt "ok" and i remember in of the dice guys twitters that Caspian wasn't the biggest map they had.
Also worse case scenario hopefully they didnt mess up the bf2 remakes up that bad and I just payed for the same maps i play on bf2 but on the new engine.

Apparently there is. No idea what are the consequences if you do so, but i doubt nothing huge. It should work and you can unlock your gamefiles earlier if you do so.
