blackops(PC) is definitely better than mw2 but not better than mw1 it has a lot of redeeming qualities but because it wasnt really tested for the pc some people still experience shutter lag. I had that problem at first but after finding a decent mp_config the problem went away and the game becomes much more enjoyable. the game is best described as balanced? killstreaks dont stack and more bullets take to kill so it makes it a bit more difficult game compared to mw2 but i guess in comparison mw2 is more fun because of the killstreaks? i guess it comes down to matter of opinion for enjoyability. more or less blackops took some good points from mw1 and fixed many of the issues with mw2 and made a balanced game hope that helps
Black Ops would be more fun if there nuke was still there imo. Would actually take an ounce of skill to get one & it's more fun having to work for something.
a nuke in black ops would definitely be fun and i agree it would very difficult to get. i never got it in mw2, never set any killstreak higher than 7 or 8.

These "montage" videos really annoy me. They don't really show skill (yea some will contain some skill clips but mostly luck), yea ok go and record footage for a week then take out all the crap footage and add in all the luck kills that look good. I would prefer if people who upload COD videos would just upload full length matches instead of these dumb montages.
This game is good for what it is. Fast, action-packed, barely tactical. It's good.
I feel the same way about Soul Calibur 4 as I do about this. It plays like a repackaged game. Soul Calibur was my favorite series for the longest time, but it never took any big risks with sequels. Neither did COD6. Zombie Nazi was not a risk, that was 100% going to work.
It's just sad to see that the latency issues mar amazing games, even if repackaged. SC4 was flat out unplayable online. If you cared about anything that makes fighting games good, you hated it too. Or you played Asteroth and spammed the long ankle sweep combo. Making Dedicated servers available from a set location seems like an even bigger slap to the face.

i agree for the most part, promod cod4 montages were the tits though. promod is pretty much only good players and, for people that don't know, it's 5v5 s&d, only 1 sniper class allowed, no attachments & no perks (i think, maybe just limited perks) and it's first to 21 or something. some of those videos were really special.
I bought Black Cops originally as the cod scene were looking likely to switch from cod4, never happened in the end for a couple of reasons...
..so, a completely wasted £40 on a horrible game which is mostly luck based; feels sluggish, has no mod tools, is riddled with bugs, has 'perks' (which have completely ruined the modern FPS game) and is only playable through Steam.

I do have to disagree on the montage part, some is skill, most of it is luck but it is 100% awesome to watch when you've got a brilliant moviemaker making these videos.
I recently started playing due to my boss getting me into it have barely touched my xbox 360 since i got it at release. Its pretty fun am playing quite a bit but hes not on that much. If anyones bored and is up for a few rounds add me on vitriolic89 . Im about 1.1/1.2 kd so im not pro but not terrible ^.
74-u with rapid fire is still completly imbalanced, and is still the best gun in the game by quite a way imo. also I got the last 2 map packs on ps3 and their.. well not that good really, but the upcoming one looks pretty good and I will probably purchase it with a friend. (there's a glitch with ps3 where 1 guy can buy the maps and someone else can log onto their account then copy/paste it from the store onto their harddrive, then you can split the costs :D) but yeah if anyone is playing this on ps3 my gt is NDobbz
i bought the new escalation mappack, but only zoo and hotel are halfway decent maps. i played cod4,mw2 and black ops on the pc but cheaters and prestige hackers and also easy peasy aiming ruined my fun. I recently got a PS3 and started over with black ops and i have a hard time adjusting my aim etc. From now on im getting my cod games only on console since the skillcap is much much higher! psn: onetrickpony_
