By simple I assume you are going to want an aggro list, since control is more complicated to play. If you want a competitive deck though, keep in mind that it will be pricy and will not be very simple to play properly.
Well right now I'm going to be playing on magic workstation so price really doesn't matter. Can't really spend money on mtg haha.

Play Delver, it's simple but difficult at the same time. If that's too hard, then play RG aggro. Delver teaches new players a lot of things such as combat tricks, damage calculations, when to press and when to hold back, and etc. It's a herp derpy deck thanks to hexproof and swords, and it's a hard deck because you actually have to plan your turns and play accordingly to the match up. The difference between good Delver players and bad ones are very apparent, so you can judge your own progress as more lines of play become more apparent to you. In that sense its very "easy" to point out where in a game you messed up or did well.

Ya it will probably be insane for edh but seems terrible otherwise. You want to ramp into it with rampant growths etc so you are going to have to play a lot of spells. Unless you try to play a ton of elves/birds but then you just lose to slagstorm or any sweeper. The blue mythic seems alright. Not sure why it's mythic but the fact that you can keep moorland haunting it and replaying make it seem like a good 1-2 of in a UW control deck maybe. Although I guess control isn't really good enough right now for that to be your finisher. Play titans or lose.

It's what came to mind at first instantly but a 4GUU combo for infinite creature mana is too slow for legacy.

Food Chain goes off with it in Legacy. There probably isn't a great way to break it in standard, but considering you can pitch it to FoW or misD it has other upsides. Also its inability to get plowed is pretty relevant when many decks only have plow for removal (GW maverick, UW stoneblade)

I mean if your attacking to kill someone after plowing it out of the way it's not really doing much, If my opponents are spending four mana over and over for a 3/3 flyer in legacy I feel like I would be pretty damn happy.
Interaction with moorland haunt etc in standard is generally interesting, dungeon geists as a 3/3 flyer without keeping something tapped actually can win some games, so it's not awful in standard i guess. Not sure if it has a home right now but maybe in future standard.

Not sure how useful that will actually be. By turn 5, RX decks are pretty aggro so it'll be at best a 7/7 maybe. Still pretty bomby, but as you start to push harder, it just gets weaker and weaker.

Yeah, but EDH against a Rune-Tail deck (a guy at my shop plays him) it's just absurd.

Cavern of souls was spoiled a while ago. Malignus is mostly an edh card.
Also, with the amount of cards that can kill delver being spoiled, delver will cease to exist as a deck once avacyn restored comes out. The sphinx is not even anything close to a delver answer. Blue has much better answers to delver than a 4 drop french vanila.
