I'd call Rift 50-60% WoW + 30% other recent MMOs +10% new. This doesn't make it a bad game in any sense, it means they took what has obviously worked, and then took what people have liked from various other MMOs, and then improved on it all to put it in one game. I'm not saying it will be some god among MMOs, but it is definitely worth playing if you enjoy the style they are going for. | ||

Btw tip: for starting areas click on ppl and find someone in the biggest public grp to join. Makes doing the quests far easier! I spent like 5m trying to click the canons before waiting for the raid to complete it for me lol. | ||
