I can see Tottenham attacking with Lennon and Bale, but i think after scoring a goal Real Madrid will employ Mourinho's defensive style and hold on. Inter Milan > Schalke
Eto'o is just too good right now
Chelsea < Manchester United
If Torres starts Man.U will win considering Torres form, if Drogba starts it will be an even Match-up but ultimately i can see Hernandez scoring the winner.
Barcelona > Shakhtar Donetsk
I haven't seem Shakhtar this season at all, hoping they dont park the bus thought to see an entertaining match. Barcelona will go through imo
hopefully seeing how it's all in england united won't bore everyone to tears and park the bus in the away leg as usual. ofc chelsea are going to tear their LOL defence a new one
I remember when one of Chelsea's LOL defenders handed us the champions league. I'd hardly consider Terry + Luiz to be that much stronger than Vidic + Smalling (if Vidic plays that is, if it's Wes Brown then god fucking help us).
Seriously though Chelsea have zero pace up front, except maybe torres, who is cancelling the benefits of his speed out with being pretty mediocre atm.
Shakhtar actually lost to Arsenal 6-3 in aggregate in the group stage, but advanced in first place after they won all other matches while Arsenal dropped an away match at Partizan. Barca have simply been the most dominant club this season. 5-1 aggregate.
Real Madrid > Tottenham
Both clubs can attack. Only one has a good defense and rock solid keeper. Tottenham's positive attacking style will give Madrid the counterattacking chances that they (and Mourinho wherever he coaches) love, but their own attack will have only limited success. Madrid have looked like the best club in CL games so far. 5-2 aggregate.
Inter Milan > Schalke
It could go either way, I'm giving Inter the benefit of the doubt due to some of their star power on attack, but their defending has been shady so far in the tournament. 5-4 aggregate.
Manchester United > Chelsea
It's more of a fan's pick to be honest as these are looking like the two strongest sides in England at the moment. Valencia's return is big for United's attack as he is a more classic wing player than Nani (who can play on the left anyway) and the club seems to finally be settling on a consistent strike pair with Rooney and Hernandez. Rooney's dropping deep as he has been recently could be critical as United can't afford to get outnumbered in the midfield. (then again Chelsea themselves have gone 4-4-2 since picking up Torres) I'll say 3-2 aggregate. If Vidic can't play however, I don't think United have much of a shot with Smalling and Brown.
Real Madrid - Tottenham looks to me to be the most entertaining match of all with Barcelona vs Shaktar as a 2nd cus you know Barcelona always brings one helluva show with Messi and the fast spanish play style.
Inter - Schalke i hope Schalke beat em up because inter owned Bayern, but i'm really afraid with Eto'os amazing shape and general skills on the pitch

Luiz can't play in CL, it will be Terry+Ivanovic or Terry+Alex

Definitely not true (I say this as a RM fan). The game vs Lyon is the first game in a long while where I haven't had a heart attack from Ramos' dangerous defending (frankly, I'd be much happier with Arbeloa at WHL). Losing one of Pepe or Carvalho (both on yellow cards) will completely screw over our defence (though Ramos in the middle isn't too bad). Lastly, Casillas has been making so many errors for the last few years really. I have very little confidence in him at all.
Only thing we have going for us defence-wise is that everyone except Ronaldo seems to be (or at least has the capacity to) working really hard to defend.
Ok its 2-2 now, if it ends like this...god I hope Almunia doesn't play in the rest of the games...-__- The second goal for Arsenal...was so agonizing to watch lawl

Smalling is worse than Luiz, Alex and Ivanovic. Vidic is not THAT good to make up for smalling.
Anelka can be quick when he wants to, and Torres torments the united defence even when he is off form (check the game at the bridge, torres never scored but he was giving the defence headaches all night)
And the community shield is no yardstick, as most of the chelsea squad were still unfresh from the world cup while most of uniteds team weren't.
Excellent result for Chelsea today against Man City. Torres still can't score and Chelsea looked a lot more threatening when Drogba was introduced on later, but David Luiz looked extremely solid - Dzeko couldn't do anything against him in one-on-one situations and Ramires played well too.
Mancini is heading for a sacking before the end of the season, if it were not for Spurs managing to lose to Blackpool and then drawing with Wolves AND West Ham they wouldn't even be line for a CL spot next season. I think they have a good squad of players (better than Spurs) but rely too much on Tevez. Dzeko looks well dodgy. A loss away to Liverpool and then a loss in the huuuuge Cup game with ManU has got to be the end of the Italian.
So, why aren't you guys talking about the important news...
200 (actually 201) goals for Totti in Serie A! He once again scored 2 goals today (for the second game in a row), and even though Roma only got 2-2 it is a glorious day (the season is kinda fucked anyway). Only 5 players ahead of him in terms of goalscoring, only 4 fucking goals up to Baggio. Legend.
