Game is really good. took longer then I expected THough act 4 was bit undertuned compared to 3 imo | ||

absolutely disgusted so far. my internet is capped but resets at around midnight so i thought i'd install the game then patch and play when my internet gets up. Im using a bloody physical CD and i have to DOWNLOAD A PATCH BEFORE EVEN INSTALLING OFF DISK WTF!. so i wait 4 hours getting this system updater update get the instal screen. go to click accept then "incorrect installation options." WTF IS THIS SHIT i try everything but to no avail i have to close the installer. i think to myself just force administrater run and maybe that will fix it......NO I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD A SYSTEM UPDATER PATCH AGAIN. disgusted it wont even just let me install the game off the disk without internet connection. DISGUSTED. at around midnight when my net is back up im sure i will be enjoying slamming my head against the wall because of 37, 32 errors or whatever, and maybe at 3 am i might get into the game and start enjoying it. but overall im disgusted. Stupid Company fear of pirates. To combat them they make everything harder for the rest of us. blizzard probably will lose more money from crappy reviews of release and shit ass online restrictions then pirates anyway >.> /disgruntled enraged uni student rant over. | ||

I'm not saying anything about how evil it is of Blizzard to do this (no lan, or offline mode) or something like that, here's just my realistic viewpoint from Blizzards perspective, as a business: The thing about Blizzards anti piracy thing though... it's working. There isn't a really easily available Starcraft 2 server emulator or even just multiplayer crack or something available one and a half years after the release of the game. And that's Starcraft 2, where the client is basically able to do everything that a server can do, too. After all, you can play games against the AI. If they keep this up with D3, then there will not even be a single-player crack, like.. ever, The D3 client is completely incapable of even simulating a single-player game, since it constantly sends commands to the server and waits for the server to tell it what to do. This means that in order for single player to be available to pirates, there has to be a fully-functioning server emulator. Since this will likely take a long wile, it will most likely boost sales a lot. Most pirates are people who just want to play the single-player and take a look at the game, and if they think it's really awesome and want to play multiplayer they'll have to buy the game anyways. But now, with no singleplayer freely available for them, a lot of them will give in to the hype and simply buy the game. Of course, the whole thing with binding the game to your battle.net account is a sick deal against reselling stuff. From a business perspective, this probably makes a huge amount of money for Blizzard. | ||
