You know what internet is? These "offline-guides" are made for casuals and won't have any real pro-tips inside.

Hey guys, I didn't have the chance to try the beta. I'm looking for a class that deals a lot of damage and doesn't button smash like the Barb. I don't mind having to kite a lot. What would you guys recommend me? Wizard? DH?

They give good basics, easier to thumb through than a wowhead, along with being a neat collector's item.

Its Diablo. Every class button smashes. DH is more about positioning however, since you can get bonus dmg if you are X yards away from monsters etc. Wizard is more straighforward but more of a glass cannon, its kill/freeze/cc the enemies until they can get at you and do dmg.

I'm so torn between Wizard and Witch Doctor, how do I choose!?

Which do you prefer, the one that has a hunch back or the one that is permanently leaning backwards?
Yeah, WD is 5th on my list of classes to play solely for that reason. He might even be 1st if he stood up straight, he has badass armor and skills.

lolol first time I've heard that reason for not liking WD. It's dead last for me as well.

I heard that RMAH won't be online for the first week... that could be interesting.

I know it's a specific complaint but he just looks so god damn ridiculous. Does anyone really prefer that over a normal posture? Imagine if they took the necro in D2 and give him a gimp leg so he would drag it around instead of walk normally. Sure, it adds something to the character. It's also a really stupid idea.

Blizzard said approx one week after launch.

It's all part of the character's aesthetics and I guess people are entitled to their own opinion. I don't necessarily love the WD's posture but I don't have anything against it either.

It doesn't fuck up the kids that are trying to speedrun, for one thing.

Avoid rushers spending absurd amounts of money I guess...

Speaking of rushes, from what I understand from one of Jay Wilson's statements is that there is a hard level cap to access each difficulty now so rushing is essentially dead I think. Awesome news IMO.
Of course, with re-specs it was already somewhat dead but now people actually need to learn how to play the game before they can be level 80. Should mean less newbies in late game.

Level max is 60. And that doesn't kill rushes.. they just have to rush grind.

But he can summon a giant toad that eats stuff! Reason enough to play him for me ^^

Guest-503: Is “rushing” a character possible? Or are there some kind of restrictions that keep a player from getting to Nightmare/**bleep**/Inferno in a significantly shorter time period than usual. Jay Wilson: A higher level character can help you jump past content within a difficulty, but you get greatly diminished XP, so you really need to go through legitimately. We have hard level requirements for difficulty levels, though, so no shortcuts there.

I was speaking about level 80 in reference to Diablo 2. Oh, and diminishing EXP so yeah, no go.
