But yeah 170k damage from a single strike of a single mob is pretty crazy, Inferno will be quite a challenge. Sorry Kids, but you cant tell if Inferno is challenging only based on Stats lol! You have no idea about it. Maybe its a kite mob or its a Event, where you have something like a Cannon or WHATEVER! Fact is, that because 1 Mob does 170kdmg/hit doesn't mean Inferno will be Hard. We don't even know how much HP a Level60 Char will have. If its ~10.000.000 - 170k seems like a Joke. | ||

The other 3 monsters previewed deal 13-26k dmg per hit. Those are definitely the vanilla mobs. With such insane stats, it's no wonder why you need crazy gear just to be able to survive. Nothing has 1-shot abilities, unless you consider 170k damage 1-shot. Some bosses had a unique kill animation if they did lethal damage to you, but I think that it got removed. Somebody correct me on that point. Edit: lightning enchanted is back though. | ||

Are you talking about trash mobs only? You could definitely get one shot by hephasto for example | ||

Btw to the guy who was disappointed at D3....I'm sure you know EVERYTHING about a game from 1/3-1/5 of Act 1 in Normal.i mean definitely nothing left to know/play. As for ladder,it apparently will be brought back. However PVP requires next patch. How will armor be calculated this time around? If it is a reduction in the hits you take then awesome because I hated the D2 % chance to get hit. It was so lame. You either take full damage or no damage, stupid. 170k can only be reduced by so much though before you still need like 40k hp to survive one hit lol. Well if you see from a melee perspective. Base reduction is 30%, armor should give around 30-40%...that should be 60% min for melee reduction already. So basically if you take 40% of 170k, thats 68k damage. With end game equipment being calculated(dont have numbers with me, can find on Incgamers forum) giving around 50-100k hp depending on your affix....you may or may not get one shot. If you actually throw in abilities that reduce damage, definitely survivable. Just add a 25% damage reduction from damage done passive from monk....that will mean you only take 40-25 = 15% of 170k....25500 damage. So i would say Inferno shit are survivable, just that you definitely require defensive skills to boost yourself up. Balanced Builds are the way to go. You NEED offensive skills to beat the enrage timer. you NEED defensive skills to survive hits that would otherwise kill you. | ||
