That just means they can make a somewhat more balanced pvp. There are still a lot of things they are NOT including to make it an esport such as spectator modes, rankings, etc. Who knows what will happen in the future, but if you go into this expecting an esport, you're probably gonna have a bad time. Maybe in an expansion they will focus more on pvp, idk. Well if they're making two distinct skill sets, this clearly tells me that Blizzard wants to have a basis for the game to turn into an esports. The only audience that this satisfies is the hardcore PvP audience. The casual and PvE audience doesn't care if PvP is balanced since it doesn't need to be for it to be fun. I'm not expecting Diablo III to be an esports and I'm not looking forward to this type of system of having PvP and PvE skill rules.

I'm not expecting Diablo III to be an esports and I'm not looking forward to this type of system of having PvP and PvE skill rules. I don't agree with that logic at all. That is all I can really say. Just because they they are trying to create a somewhat balanced pvp, does not mean it they are trying to make it an esport. It just doesn't. If you see it differently, then I guess we'll just have to disagree, but I don't see why improving the pvp in any fashion immediately says "esport." That is very binary thinking, to me. As Jay Wilson says, he is well aware people are going to TRY to turn it into an esport. Whether or not they succeed we will just have to see, but that route won't be directly supported by Blizzard Again, there are a lot of things they AREN'T doing, that you would expect in an "esport" at this point, as well.

Other than that, was never really a huge fan of Diablo for whatever reason. It's great fun, but I don't think I'll blow 60 bucks on it. If anything I'll just get Diablo 2 for like 20.

No sorry but I can't say I'm too pleased with these changes, also the max players = 4 is terrible considering that I have a group of 5 friends who would love to play together but right now one of us have to skip playing every single session...

And you'd think there would be less crashes and errors as the game release date is less than a month but no. >_> C'mon Blizzard. The game itself is stable. The servers aren't though, that's why you are helping them fix it now. Maybe they also underestimated the load too who knows.

Actually spell descriptions are crap, I got no clue what is their exact damage and that is irritating.

Interesting, Path of Exile has great mechanics but much less fun gameplay then D3. I want a hybrid of those two games ![]()
