Apparently Blizzard, makers of such filthy games like World of Warcraft, Starcraft II and Oblivion, have a horrible series of games glorifying Satan called "Diablo". Apparently there are two sequels, or "clones" as gamers call them, of this game, the most recent having been released in 2009. How this horrifying game managed to get released without widespread calls for it's banning is beyond me! Yep, buy the WoW annual subscription and you get D3 free at release + next WoW Beta Key +some WoW ingame mount.

Ok so I read thru the last few pages of this thread and couldn't find the relevant question though I am sure it must have been asked somewhere. I am told you will see a diablo 3 beta icon on your account info screen at us.battle.net if you get invited to the beta, but what is this new icon I see that just says Diablo III ...coming soon? Does it mean anything at all, I did not pre-order it or anything so I am at a loss.

Argh that was soooo lame. I checked my battle.net account and saw Diablo III!! But then realized, it was greyed out and prompting for the WoW Annual pass...
It sounds neat, getting a game for something many people are going to be doing anyway (not myself). And for sure you get into Diablo III and Wow betas.

It's just showing each of Blizzard's IPs and their development status. It's not particular to your account, everyone sees the same thing.

????????? that has nothing to do with it... its just a gift for wow player ( i dont play and really dont like the game...) and i think its great for them because a lot of people continue to pay a lot for that old wow game... giving them D3 is just awesome

It's just Blizzard trying to stop the hemorrhaging of subscribers in the next year or so. I don't mind it, more casuals playing D3 making the potential market bigger for the AH. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

Think about it, what percentage of wow players will actually play diablo? Probably a chunk, but this will make it a much much larger chunk. This also prevents folks from quitting wow to go to diablo 3. So many folks play for a few months at a time and then again a few months later. Forcing folks to buy a full year locks in all those subscriptions all year long.
EDIT: Wait you get into diablo 3 beta if you preorder in that manner? Do you folks have a source for this?
EDIT2: You get into next WoW expansion beta, not diablo.
