+ Show Spoiler + TL Top 50 Games of All Time So I looked at "Top 50 Games All Time - Guiness World Records" and saw how terrible they were. Most of us agree although the list isn't utterly useless, there is indeed games that has no business in the list or obvious candidates that had somehow seemed to be left out. The problem in that list seemed to have stemmed from mostly one factor: the pool of people who voted. Majority of them seem to be casual player and do not have enough knowledge about gaming history to know or give appreciation to some amazing old games, such as "X-com series". The fact that Guiness 'World' Records only polled US gamers was disappointing too: who knows there is a obscure foreign game out there that totally kicks ass? To my opinion Teamliquid seems to pass through above two hurdles mentioned: we are international community, and most of us understand gaming (or from the poll, I expect them to.) After consideration I thought of these ground rules which I thought would work: (Rule 1)Person will make a vote by making a post in this thread, following this format: ##Voting 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. ##Voting is needed for the convenience of the OP to sort voting posts from other posts that doesn't. The game in number one slot will get 10 points, number two 9 points, number three 8 points, number four 7 points, number five 6 points, number six 5 points, number seven 4 points, number eight 3 points, number nine 2 points, and number ten 1 points. (Rule 2)To prevent certain game series from cluttering most of the votes, the vote will not be made for individual game but entire series. So instead of voting for 'Starcraft' and 'Starcraft 2' separately you would vote 'Starcraft' which will include both. (Rule 3)Please don't call out others for their choice of votes. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. (Rule 4)Other obvious no-no things, like voting multiple times. If you want to change your mind just edit your post. When no one posts in thread for more than 2 days, I will make a post saying "---poll closed---" and use the votes made before my post to make a list- it would take lot of work, but I also have bunch of free time on some occasions. If your vote was editted after the poll is closed, it will not be counted. So this is basic run down. I have no idea how it will work, but I hope it turns out well. We are confident that this 'top 50' more accurately reflects the tastes of the average gamer and not just the critics. It's official: The average gamer is fucking retarded.Not that that's news to anyone. Oh, btw: The new games in the franchise might be abominations but Halo CE itself was as revolutionary as StarCraft, in forcing players down to two weapons. Just to use the first example I could think of, didn't Counter-Strike do that too? Like, two years earlier? Yeah, no, Halo was revolutionary. | ||

It is just a console FPS ( lol ). There were tons of better FPS on PC when Halo was released. Yea i know that was one of the best game of the first Xbox but that doesn't mean a lot. | ||
