When a person buys something, it is affordable and appealing. When games have those two characteristics, it is a good game. SC1 single handedly sold 11 million copies ffs.

I never look at these lists as anything other than a popularity contest. Some of the best games most people have never heard of. Where is Deus Ex? Syberia? Longest Journey and Dreamfall? These are the games that make the medium Art.
