They need to add another ref, increase salaries and get young people who actually have 20/20 vision. NBA may be harder than most other games, but these playoffs have been downright atrocious, especially compared to recent years. Aside from that, I can't believe I'm saying this but I think I'm a fan of Rondo now. Fuck the C's, but watching Rondo is great. Imagine if he could become a consistent shooting threat. :o

That one instance where Mike Bibby got BLATANTLY elbowed by Kobe and they didn't whistle anything. That entire series was a complete fucking bullshit. While Tim Donaghy might be a complete douchebag, I do feel like he was somewhat right when he talked about match fixing allegations.

Even if the match fixing allegations are untrue, it's no secret that NBA refs have vendettas, use preferential treatment, "trade" bad calls and are inconsistent between games and even quarters. Completely unprofessional.

Completely unprofessional. Pretty much. Pretty much sums up why Tim Duncan got tossed by Joey Crawford, why Kobe and Lebron almost NEVER foul out (MJ here too), and why there are so many make up calls every game. It's frustrating to see a foul on someone when nothing happened at all, but instead a make up call was issued because a wrongly called foul was issued previously on the other team or something stupid like that.

Stop crying wolf about officiating, it's not like it was a game full of lebron james fouls. They were calling contact that ended up with people being knocked off balance in mid air, for better or worse. On the scale 1 to 10 for rigged offficiating, this is like a 2 or 3.

LA shot twice as many FTs and still lost do you even watch the game? the fouls were called when they were attacking (bynum gasol). yes there were a few shooting fouls that should havent have been made (kobe's bank shot, davis block on bynum and pierce on artest), but bad calls went BOTH WAYS. looking at your posts anyone can tell you just dont like kobe and dont care who would win and how they win as long as kobe doesnt.

It wasn't rigged, it was just poor. And most of the time there was a really bad call on one end, there was a make up bad call on the other, which is just absurd. I hate both teams, but it's tough to watch when the refs affect the game so much.

LA shot twice as many FTs and still lost thing is kobe got hit with 5 early in the 4th, which is a HUGE disadvantage to the offense of the lakers imo refs were shitty on both sides but that gasol garnett last touch call pretty much secured boston the win, if that call went to the proper team, who knows who would have won

LA shot twice as many FTs and still lost You need to be honest with yourself. Yes, there were bad calls for the Lakers (Pierce and Davis' blocks were obviously clean), but there were also some really piss poor calls, like how Kobe picked up his 3rd and 5th personals, or how Artest picked up 2 fouls in the span of like 20 seconds and he didn't even do anything. The refs in general were killing not only the flow of the game, but the entire game as a whole. When bigs like KG and Perkins are in foul trouble, we don't see as much defense or challenge from the Celtics, and when Kobe's in deep foul trouble, we don't see him as aggressive to the hole in fear of picking up more fouls. Yes, fouls are necessary to call, but calling them for ticky tack reasons just detracts from the game and makes it less interesting to watch. I wanna see a game dictated by how well the players are performing, not by foul trouble and referees.
