The following information I got from a post on the WCG forums to another post on some other gaming site forums seems to be legit. At least, it has a post by a previous season's competitor responding to it.
From that, it appears they will focus on the Xbox 360 fairly exclusively again (  ). One audition is April 6th, the other three cities are all April 10th. According to the posts by the previous season's player (MrsViolence), the passport requirement will be lax for auditions, thought one will need to have one for the show.

Just an update:
The official site has been updated with the information above ( http://us.wcg.com/wcgultimategamer ). In addition, they added a way to submit an audition online.

Please submit a 5 minute video interview telling us about yourself and why you would like to be a contestant on WCG Ultimate Gamer. Make sure to tell us about your gaming skills and be creative this may be your only opportunity you have to wow us. Personality is key!
We prefer you submit your video online, via Youtube or YouSendIt however we will also accept mail-in submissions on Mini-DV or DVD formats.
All materials submitted will become the property of WCG ULTIMATE GAMER.

I have no problem with them promoting gamers, but you know the games are going to be basically the same as last year. Maybe sub in COD with Halo. Whatever, good for everyone who gets to participate.

my 360 skillz are pretty sick (in fighting games) sf4, tekken 6, blaze blue, ect.. sadly.. i dont play trash games like GH or any FPS T.T

Seriously the show should be renamed because it's like calling a 5th grader's recess relay run the Triathlon. They barely even show the actual games they play on there iirc. Why don't they use some actual spectator friendly games for a change.
