It's amazing he survived that and it reminds me of what happened to a friends uncle. I guess a similar case is like a high stakes poker game where you find out a guy's cheating and he gets beat the shit out of. Except in this case it's a video game and well, instead of a beating (which wouldn't even be gossip worthy) the guy gets stabbed through the fucking brain to make the situation even more dramatic. While the poker beating could potentially be justified as more worthy because their money is on the line, these guys are so emotionally involved with CS that this kid cheating is the same (to them).
In reality, the kids who stabbed him are probably very mentally unstable.
Obviously there was an altercation and arguing/building up of tension before the kid got stabbed. I doubt it was like "oh hey kid, you're cheating, STAB." Most likely a lot of "fuck yous" exchanged with it getting physical, maybe some pushes/shoves that cultivated with the stab? That's my thinking at least.

It went like this: Guy X works at the netcafe. Guy X is the guy who got stabbed. Guy X plays counterstrike, is so good that he pwns everyone. Local gang hang around and gets frustrated that they cant win over him. Local gang thinks guy X is using wallhack. Local gang ask guy X to install wallhack on their computers so they can get a better score than him. Guy X refuse to do so. Local gang stab guy X with a knife.
Now i don't know how reliable this is, but a danish media presented it as if the poor guy was working in the pc bang, and was owning up the other guys, which was refered to as gang-like. They then wanted him to install cheat (WH i guess) on their computers, which he refused to do.
If thats the case, it just makes the story even more sad.
