Yeah, Mogwai's the shit, so are oberon and southlight. I know I've played with more good players but those three are probably the top that actually post in the thread.

LiquidParty is now fairly consistently 20 people during peak hours \o/ (seems to be 4 - 9 PM central time).
On a related note, 5 consecutive losses now. All with premades.

Have we actually played before? I don't remember playing with you tbh (haven't played with much besides southlight's crew and 2 games with some other guys).

EDIT: I'm really loving Shen. He might not be a Ninja, but at least right now with no one knowing what to do with/against him, having a half decent one to lane with is pretty brutal.

Dunno. Kinda doubt it. I don't think there are any top 100 players on TL, but it's hard to tell because Riot is so tight with information about ratings.

IH (In-House) and Gathers are 5v5 games were the teams are qued together to play each other. Usually there is voice communication requirements and you play with and against the same group of players. I assume there are none for LoL at the moment then.

You can create a team with other players, then queue with them. The matchmaking system will add an artificial amount to your rating, to represent your likely superior organization. This often results in playing other pre-made teams who also have this bump added, especially if your team's individual ratings are high. The larger the premade, the larger the rating bump.

What TL Vent Channel you guys use and what's it's password? The DotA/HoN channel is protected so I assume the LoL one is as well.

We just use "other games", which has no password.

How do you communicate in the game? You guys join an specific channel? If so what's the name?

In game text communication is handled by LoL (very similar to BW's system, no shock). In game voice is done over Vent. If you're not doing a 5-man pre-made with everyone on Vent, it's polite to use text as well for MIA calls and similar warnings. You can also communicate by pinging the map.

How often does the TL crew get together to play games and when you guys do is it usually to pubstomp or to play against other organized teams? Also would you consider the TL community active in LoL?

TL is very active. I believe the record is 3 TL 5mans playing at once. LiquidParty is where everyone gathers, and where you can go to chat with other TLers. Personally, I often just start a pre-made and invite everyone on my buddy list (including TLers) -- first four to show up jump on Vent and off we go.

*Really pissed that Riot hasn't released things that were promised a long time ago >.< But I can live with that. I will be joining you guys soon I just need to re-download the game :p

It is annoying. But it's still a fun game.

With matchmaking doing a reasonable job, I'm not sure anyone cares. As a side note on this, I'm fairly sure about 2 patches ago they changed matchmaking to be less stringent -- queue times have become VERY short (often instant!) but matchups can be wonky. Before, we once waited 20 minutes with a 5 man (some of TLs better players, so it was hard to find a team with an equivalent rating counting the 5man bump). More recently, we've played a game where we were up 10-0 on kills and 2-0 on towers pretty early on -- it was clear that, despite the premake penalty, everyone on our team was better than everyone on their team.

Yeah I got matched with Turkey and three PUGs all under 200 wins, against a team fully comprise of people over 300 wins, with one even having 650+. To no surprise it was Turkey and me with a positive record and the other three with terribad records -_-

Lawl, I had 3800 hp and 170/170 armor/resist and I still died in 3 seconds, it was ridiculous. Glad Illy was a veteran backdoor-er. If I was playing Twitch that game I'm not sure we would have actually lost the 5v5 fights anyways, but I'm definitely not experienced enough with him to backdoor properly

last paragraph says they'll be sponsoring a 3v3 tournament with a cash prize to celebrate TT's release in the near future.

EDIT: MM is still far from perfect, but it seems to have come a long way since I started. You still get the occasional ROFLstomp game, but on average, MM is giving me way better games than when I started.

I usually never have issues with MM; I always brace myself for one crappy player on my team, and if my whole team turns out competent I'm pleasantly surprised. Having every PUG on my team be incompetent was, well, rare and somewhat startling. No biggy, though.

You're a bit late with the TT tourney thing, that got mentioned a bit ago

The one fight I really regretted was the one where we attacked them with all towers/inhibs down... and then got wiped. I really should have just attacked the throne, cuz it was like 10 hits from dying :| We should have won right then and there, but instead it got dragged on for another 10 minutes and three team-wipes, lol. It's too bad I didn't realize until after the fight that Trist was running triple Elixirs. If I'd noticed beforehand...

lol, yea, well, that's what I meant... he orchestrated it nicely :p. cause I think the entire rest of our team thought he was gonna pop into the team fight and we were gonna try to win a 5v5. Then he didn't and we all started running and I at least thought to myself "fuck, where the hell is shaco when we need him!?"
