OKC are dying in the arse for whatever reason. I was jumping on their bandwagon only a few pages ago, but I'm getting off now. I think next year we'll see their best.
They'll take 1, maybe 2, games off the Lakers, but I just don't see them having the consistency against a strong and experienced Lakers team.
If they didn't end 8th, played the Mavs, Suns or even Utah and got deep, then I'd back them for the upset, but Lakers first round is too big an ask.
If they're going to be any chance, they've gotta take one of the first two games in LA.

Hah, remember Portland bandwagon? Roy, Aldridge, Oden & Co. Where are they now?
If they don't totally choke my bet is on 7 games. Durant has to make it. OKC is no worse than Bobcats, Portland.

they're all on injured reserve come on you can't knock portland when they lose their 2 centers and now lose their starting 2 guard well maybe you can knock them for drafting oden in the first place =p

Considering Portland's injury list, they're doing just fine this season.

I don't think they'll be able to sustain themselves at the level of intensity they will need to upset the Lakers. They're a young bunch with little (if any?) playoff experience behind them, and it's going to be a whole different kettle of fish -- particularly against the defending champs.
Can they win? Of course. Will they win? No.
If OKC had a "softer" first round opponent (Dallas, Phoenix or even Denver) and got through, I think they could really give the Lakers trouble (bracket willing). But I think the defending NBA champ Lakers in their first ever playoff series is the worst case scenario for OKC.
I really, really hope I'm wrong though. I'm a massive Durant fan and I'd love to see OKC spoil LA.

It's hard to knock them for that too, Oden really stepped in that NCAA championship game and showed some real skills, it's a shame too because it's not like he's Kwame Brown kind of bullshit.
In other news, Paxson shoved Del Negro, that's just hilarious to imagine.

well, they knew that his legs were different lengths, and bad legs are the bane for big men should have been a flag

i truly don't think portland would have been all that much better with their players not injured. it's not like they were lighting the league up before injuries happened.

looks like roy is likely out for the season as well as the playoffs. his so called sore/sprained knee OR knee contusion actually turned out to be a torn meniscus
