Armada won everything and beat Ice 3-0 in the melee GF after beating Fuzzyness (the UK best player) 3-0 (and prof pro 3-0 in the PM GF). Armada then chatted to all of us in the hotel room and it sounds from him like he is pretty serious on regaining the number 1 crown. He is also eyeing Smash 4 up from what I heard. Which is great news even if Smash 4 sucks like brawl - at least he will be motivated to continue in the scene and there is hope for Melee to grow :D. He was playing fox as well as peach, because he says he wants to use fox against fox and jiggs in the future iirc, but stuck to peach for every other MU. He played hard in pools and was wrecking everyone including a poor falcon who he 4 stocked and lost 5% doing it. So it will be pretty hype for MLG, evo and the other event that is happening in the USA. I believe Armada will have travel paid for him by his sponsors. One thing that struck me is how confident he is - very certain of putting up GGs and being able to beat m2k, pp and mango. He also gave us an insight into his mental game which was pretty amazing. | ||
