Now that I think about it, Koishi and Kokoro's popularity probably go hand in hand. By the end of Hopeless Masquerade, the story has nothing to do with a religious war. It's more of a personal story of two youkai whose serendipitous meeting nearly destroys everybody. Youkai moe~

I was actually wondering what happened to that contest about a month ago, checked, and saw a notice along the lines of 'because no new games have been released this year, we will postpone the popularity vote until next year'. And then I miss voting, fuuuuuu~ I am not at all surprised at the rise in popularity of koishi and hartmann's (pc in fighting game durr). Last remote was always kinda popular (teens). Edit: I voted koishi as part of my top 5, last year, before it was cool. yeah.

ATE 7 CUPS OF MANGO PUDDING Wat Sakuya fell out of top 5 D: Also the poll won't let me vote Sakuya/Sakuya/Sakuya, so I had to settle for Sakuya/Yumeko/Ruukoto

+ Show Spoiler [遊星航路] + By Chia, on DDBY's Reitaisai 10 collaboration album. I'm baffled by this song, but not because of its quality. Chia is a great singer, and I love the melody here; I usually dislike Sleepless Night of the Eastern Country, because I get almost annoyed at the main melody unless it's heavily arranged or has a different take on it from usual. So, I love the song... but what the shit is Chia singing in?! It just doesn't sound like Japanese, though I hear Japanese words in it. I'm not practiced enough in Asian languages to decipher which she's using. Regardless of that mystery, this song is beautiful. I need to find out which circle Chia is in... + Show Spoiler [Eye Closer] + By Code-49, with Sariya-jin singing. Sariya-jin has a fantastic voice, but this is one of the only songs I've heard her participate in that I actually like. Last Remote is one of my favorite Touhou themes, Code-49 is an amazing trance artist (one of his other albums, Cantrip, is perhaps the single best overall album I've heard from a Touhou arranger), and combined with great vocals, I've had this one on repeat more than a few times. + Show Spoiler [Let Me Blow] + By TatshMusicCircle, sung by ENA. It's Engrish, but it's not horribly butchered as is often the case. The selling point is not the lyrics themselves, but rather the insanely catchy take on Reach for the Moon's recognizable chorus section. I dunno what it is, but it's awesome. + Show Spoiler [Nightmare Counselor] + By GET IN THE RING, sung by Mai Kotoge and Mie. As per usual, the song itself is a clusterfuck of original songs mixed together, to the point where any of the original melodies are pretty much undetectable. Doesn't matter, because the song is really good. YMMV, however. But you're the one listening to these due to my ten minutes of typing up descriptions and copy-pasting YouTube links, so suck my filthy [REDACTED] + Show Spoiler [Sheol] + By Barrage Am Ring, sung by ℃iel. I recently discovered the phenomenon known as metalstep (which is exactly what the name would suggest), and this is the first time I've encountered it in a Touhou arrangement. I personally really enjoy the combination of dubstep and metal, and while it's not everyone's cup of tea, it's a solid mix in my opinion, especially for an oft-neglected song like Ancient Temple in the Netherworld. On a side note, ℃iel is a damned versatile singer; she has like four or five different voice pitches she can use for a given song. So does 3L, for that matter. I guess it's almost a prerequisite when you're in a business that has free-agent singers. + Show Spoiler [Unidentified Fantastic Object???] + + Show Spoiler + Artist's interpretation of Sanae chasing Caller. Stylistic liberties may or may not have been taken. Okay, enough silliness. + Show Spoiler [Agony of 88 Days] + By VAGUEDGE, sung by urushi. I think this arrangement of Green-Eyed Jealousy captures Parsee's character very well. It's not exactly haunting, but... I suppose solemn is the word I'll use. Low-energy instrumental, distinct vocals. This is probably my favorite arrangement of Green-Eyed Jealousy so far.

chia is from crest, a group notorious for producing both stuff like this: + Show Spoiler + and this + Show Spoiler + and this + Show Spoiler + https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiDrtooEGf0 Les Japonais, RE FLENCH Ciel actually has her own group, called like Capricious Cantabile or something like that. Although it's just her and she runs around to various other groups (notable Pizuya Cell, TAMusic, MISTY RAIN, etc.) 3L is NJK Record, although she roams around a lot I mean this is pretty common phenomenon. The most obvious of which is like, meramipop lol Meramipop is from Cosmopolitan, a non-toho group, but shes everywhere . the horror.+ Show Spoiler +
