wow, I read the whole thing. Great read. I am a little surprised how much you guys contradict each other. One person says build A or unit B is useless, then the next person says its really effective.
I am really looking forward to this game. Sounds like a lot of fun.

I agree about the animations for units pivoting (poor zealots vs lings!) and dying. If those things and the gas mechanic can be removed or improved, things will start to look seriously good for SC2.

And nice write-up, that was fucking LONG!! (nice!)

Excellent read. Took me an hour or so, but it was well worth it.

At this point, I can safely say that if they don't make some improvements (like removing mbs/automine/autosurround/smartcasting), I will not play this game.

Hmmm they still have that weird feature of spawning broodlings/swarms everytime a zerg building dies?
The only remote reason i see is to somehow help deter rushes in teamplay games or something. Unless of course they want to deter rushes in the zerg game overall...I don't think that's too cool.
Or maybe they just wan to add some asthetics

Meh fuck it, doesn't matter haha.

Wow @ the people that took over an hour to read this, took me like half. Great read, but I'm just hoping that SC2 lives up to it's predecessor atm. I know it'll have a big following to begin with and I'd really like to try and go pro with it (not very likely tbqh) but it's staying power is something I doubt.
