I'm kind of curious, is this a multi-part article about savior, or is this "God of X" thing more like a series about different players who achieve/overcome the extraordinary?

great read... nice to read some of the history of BW. it's easy to pick apart why boxer/oov and others were legendary, but savior's subtleties are amazing as well.

I don't want to steer the conversation too much into SC2 and the balance "discourse" there. But Saviour is exactly why people should be wary about that conversation. The man was dominant, and while other Zergs couldn't just easily emulate his understanding d his play, they could tease out information to improve their own game.

The match up was seriously changed by a player, not really Blizzard.

SC2 has been out for 10 months. 10 months after the original SC was released, people were massing scouts. It is two expansions and 7 years of gameplay evolution too early to be able to compare to BW, we can at the very least give it some time.
