Savior was a fucking soldier back then? Sick multitalent. Great article, the kind to plow through.

Great read, Savior was truly ahead of his time.
I always wondered if his performance dropped after losing to Bisu in the finals was because it was such a shocking defeat or whether it was just because he started the matchfixing.

Fucking amazing. I hope some of the SC2-only people read this as it is an absolutely brilliant piece of work.

Wow. I am not nearly close to reading the whole thing; its 1 am and I'm getting up early tomorrow
But! Bookmarked. This is an amazing read and a great write, huge props to the writer(s) for that. I am a zerg player, and I am sure I can find so many helpful insights in this article from the greatest of them all.

Holy shit, I LOVE THIS.
This is such a great article. THANK YOU!!

Very nice read. I always enjoy writeups about the past of BW, it reminds me how beautiful not only the game itself is but also how epic al those stories and players around it are. Really fills my heart with joy and my eyes with tears. About the scandal i have to say, although i wish it never happened, it added a lot of depth and drama to the whole savior story. This tragic fallen angel thing adds some dirt and personality to the rather clean, robotic and boring images of most other progamers. Thank you very much for this.

my god, lurkers are so tight, I want one.

Even when Savior had passed his prime in 2009 he beat Jaedong, Flash, Nada, Bisu, Stork, and even his arch-nemesis Firebathero(although that game can just be chalked up to a bad coaching decision). No other player has ever given me more heartbreak and joy. I still believe.

Amazing article - thanks for the great read!

This article made me a saviOr fan even though i didnt follow bw (did know about the match fixin scandal though) hell, i would even like to see it if he would be able to compete in sc2 (mb only foreign tournaments?)

Oh my god, what a great article. Savior was such a genius...

Id KILL the the picture of savior with the samurai sword in background form.

One of the best Final Edits, and the addition of play analysis made it perfect
So, can someone tell me why his jail time was delayed 2 years?

Amazing article, I just hope that we see more players like this in the future, and that SC2 can reach the strategic beauty of BW. I can't wait to see legends like this in SC2 that truly revolutionize the way everyone plays.

I started reading TL a lot more at the beginning of last year and just got to understand Savior's place in BW history before the scandal happened. I tried to hard back then to understand why he was considered such a legend, but it was hard to wade through all of the discussion regarding the scandal. This piece made everything so much clearer. Beautifully written and a phenomenal read. It's a shame that it had to wait in the vault for everything to die down before it could see the light of day.

That article was amazing. Great job. If I could like this a thousand times over I would.
Can't wait for part 2.
