Savior may have all the greatest Starcraft skills that nobody have. (Well, Flash and Jaedong does but anyway) But he can't be praised as hero. He almost destroyed entire progaming scene that he and all the legends have established. I couldn't forget the sense of betrayal I had through the scandal.

Anyway the op looks amazing. I can't even imagine how much time you spend for this thread. I would definetly praise your next post about another progamer.

Anyways, it was such a shame with Savior, I wish Gom would allow him to participate in GSL, that way he could being SC2 which is better then nothing.

I'm not the biggest fan of Savior. I started watching when he was dominating and learned to hate Zerg

The match fixing scandal only made it worse.

However, this was an absolutely brilliant article that not only was interesting and well written, but made me appreciate the man a bit more.

Fantastic OP, I came to broodwar a year before sc2 came out, and knew about savior but had no idea why my cousin respected him so much, now I realize what he revolutionized for ZvT!

Does he ever stream or upload games of SC2 online? You would think with so much fame(good or bad) that he'd try to capitalize on it somehow by showcasing his skills now with SC2. Or has he given it all up since the scandal?

I understand a lot of people hating him now for the match fixing scandal, but he's still and always has been my favorite zerg player. The whole reason I play zerg.

Very, very well written.
It's probably one of the best FE's I've read. The graphics too, were very nice!

Pretty interesting article for me, as someone who started watching post-Bisu 3:0 Savior, and I never really understood why there were so many Savior fanboys. But I can definitely see why they would. At the very least, I do respect Savior, the player(I definitely cannot say the same of him as a person though....)

Savior #2 contributor to the zerg race after yellow...its a shame that he was at the center of the match fixing scandal but his play was absolutely and unquestionably dominant.

Its a good thing JD is still here to make the zerg proud :D

Amazing amazing article, I got so many nerd chills from reading the introduction of each tactic, watching the VOD, then reading the conclusion. What blows my mind is not only did Savior create positional advantages out of thin air against a Terran army that basically lives and breathes positional advantage, but he did it in a cost-superior way, not even cost-even! And to split, backstab and counterdrop in cost-superior ways against m&m/vessel? Insane. I never followed BW, but even as an SC2 player I can appreciate these things!

Even in SC2 where the mechanics are multitudes more simple, the very best zergs still do not consistently perform any of the tactics you described above.

God, I'm so inspired, makes me want to switch from terran to zerg right now.
