*** 20/7/2007 UPDATE! ***
Theres not really any necessity given a complete update on ladders since the main one to use now a days is ICCUP. ICCUP is the easiest way to get games and skill level varies from a lot. So just go there.
League 1.
Site: www.iccup.com or more specifically for StarCraft sc.iccup.com
Step 1: Download the Antihack launcher which is located on the right of the main screen it's not mandatory, but if you don't have it on it will be really hard to get the game.
Step 2: Install the Antihack and launch BroodWar.
Step 3: Play and try to become a gosu A+ almost pro korean player. GL HF .
League 2.
Option two which another pretty active ladder is the Pro Star League.
More info can be found here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=74517
Website: http://ProStarLeague.com http://ProSL.net
How to Play – Tutorial
- Create account here. After registration activation code will be sent to given email address. Only after account activation you can login on web site and BNet.
- After account activation login on web site and join/create your team (if you have one) to count your ladder games for your team ladder also.
- Download official map pack.
- Download and run Replay uploader & Chaos Launcher (used to play games with LAN Latency) pack. Step by step Chaos Launcher configuration is available HERE.
- Once you run Replay uploader BattleNet (NetCraft) should be added to your gateways list. If it is not then download and run this registry file.
- Log on BattleNet. To play 1vs1 ladder games create game type of one vs one. To play 2vs2 ladder games create game type of top vs bottom. Only games played on official map will be reported in ladder. Pay attention to messages you get from BattleNet when the game starts or ends. If everything is ok you should get message that ladder game is started/ended else you will get error explaining what went wrong.
- If you win the game you have 48 hours to upload a valid replay for that game. If you don’t do it you will lose all points you won. To get replays automatically uploaded to server just run Replay Uploader. Program has to be running during playing games. Login is the same as on BattleNet and password is the same as on web site. Replay Uploader does not save replay but only seek for new replays and send them to server. So you have to save replay on you own or just use Chaos Launcher with auto save feature on.
Old obsolete ladders are no longer of any use.
Ok... soo.. basically the past couple of days I saw a lot of people complaining about PGT and WGT. And saying that their aren't any ladders to play on and that BW is dying.
My comment to that is that their ARE many ladders to play on it's just that people are too retarted to get acustomed to new ladders because of the different layouts that they have. (Layout being not similiar to PGT)
So here is my answer to you guys; a complete list of decent ladders to play on and how to join them (for you special people that don't like to read the long list of instructions, I'll provide them here.)
The following is the pros and cons of each ladder and a short description on how to join them. And my first hand expiriences and opinion on each of them. I currently play on all the ladders listed below so I know all the pros and cons of them.
1.
http://www.wcgzone.com
The first Ladder and in my opinion one of the best is WCGZone. It offers prizes and a program called gamon which allows users to interact easily with each other. At first they were many bugs and problems with it especially the tags. They were a lot of things wrong with it because it was launched prematurely.
Now it is a lot better a lot of the bugs have been fixed and the admistrators are A LOT more active in the forums then they have been in the past.
WCGZone is not only for StarCraft, it includes ladders for WarCraft, CounterStrike, and Fifa07. The admistrators have a lot of there hands but I think that they are balancing all the work.
I can only see one problem with WCGZone and that is the lack of users. But that can be easily fixed by YOU! It's true that not many players play their, but WCGZone by far is the best ladder out there right now because it is directly affiliated with E-Sports and the WorldCyberGames. You can also play for prizes and fun.
For your wins to count you must play someone with a WCG Icon, the map must be one of WCG Map current maps are Azalea, Paranoid Android, and Gaia, game mode must be set to WCG Saturn, and lastly you must have Gamon (anti-hack) for your wins to count.
Instructions for Joining inside the following spoiler...
+ Show Spoiler +Step 1: Register at www.wcgzone.comStep 2: Download Gamon, it's wcgzone's anti-hack launcher.(I'ts like Penguin Plug) It needs to be on for your wins to count in the ladder. If you don't have it on the wins will NOT count. Step 3: Open Gamon, and launch StarCraft thourgh gameon. To launch SC through Gamon press "Play the Game" Icon on the top left on the Gamon window. StarCraft should then start. Step 4. Go to the USEAST Server, if you recieve your WCG Icon you should be automatically placed in WCG Saturn 1, its the game channel for WCG. Side Note: There are some users that don't recieve there Icon in the first 15 minutes like they should. If that happens make a post in the forum and a WCG Admis. will get you an Icon as soon as they can. If you have any problems please PM me, make a post in the WCGZone Forums, or check out this help link... http://www.wcgzone.com/myzone/MZ_Faq_Index.wcz
2.
http://starcraft.theabyss.eu
The Abyss is also a good place to play it has a decent number of people during 8:00 - 16:00 TL.Net time. It has PGT Rating D - A+ and the players skill level is very diverse.
I think that it is a decent ladder, during the time listed above after or before that not many players are on (maybe 5-8 at any given time). It does offer prizes, but it comes no where near the prizes of WCGZone.
Instructions for joining are in the following spoiler... + Show Spoiler +
3.
http://fishbattle.net
Fish Battle is a korean ladder it also has a decent amount of players. Pros; the skill level is ubelievable when meeting the right people. There are newbies just like any other ladders but their are a lot fewer ones. It really isn't a good place for newbies. It's more of a hardcore BW scene where you can train hardcore.
Some cons to the fish ladder is that if you are foreinger it takes about 2-5 minutes to get a single game. Also korean "gosus" say "get fuck out this korea ladder, no foreigner" as "korea joke". (happened to me twice so be prepared; maybe it was the same guy under a different name or something but w/e I kicked his ass .)
Instructions to join the Fish Ladder are currently unavailable. But I will get them to you, I just forgot how I joined since I don't speak korean. I'll try to get them to you once I figured out how I did it.
4.
Brainclan: www.brainclan.com. The registry file to add both this server and NIC is: http://brainclan.com/data/Brain.reg (warning this will remove any other private server from your bnet list) or if you want to add it manually to your registry or use a gateway editor (address, timezone, server name): lemon.brainclan.com -9 BrainClan nic.brainclan.com -9 NIC
Pros: very good activity level, a wide spectrum of skill levels. Very easy to get a game on this server. Also runs on an ELO system. While i haven't played on any of the other servers listed in this thread, i've heard from a few different people that the skill level is a lot higher on brainclan than on fish, and that the amount of abuse that goes on is very minimal (disconnects count as losses i believe). i'd recommend brainclan over any of the other servers listed in this thread, unless you want to win some of the prizes offered by WCGZone
Cons: Almost every user on this server is korean (this could be a pro depending on what you want out of a server). Requires you to log 12 hours on your account logged into the server, so you might need to leave your computer on over night. Once you've logged your 12 hours, you'll be able to join the ladder channel by clicking the ladder button and joining the second channel down from the top (if you have between 1000-1200 points) the third for 1200+ and the fourth for -1000. There is no need for registration, all you have to do is sign up once you download the launcher in the StarCraft Screen. (Brain Clan provided by SoMuchBetter)
Brain Clan requieres you to be active in it for at least 12 hours for you to be able to participate in a Ladder Game (One vs One). (Those 12 hours can be done in parts.
5.
http://www.jsl.de.gg
+ Show Spoiler +1. You need ICQ http://www.ICQ.com2. Signup -click on the ladder you want to play eg: JSL 1on1, Low 1on1, Low 2on2, Team Mucho -select your language (near Login en./ger) -click on SignUp (below Login) -use the form to register 3. Getting games. As a Challenger (you are challenging someone) - Challenge a Player for a match via ICQ or on Battle.net EUROPE op JSL - if player wants a game - log-on to the Website and Challenge that Player - check if the Player has Accepted you Challenge on zthe Website - play the match, (bo1) - report result on the Web Site together with your replay upload As an Acceptor, (you are being challenged) - A Player challenges you useing ICQ or in op JSL, Bnet (europe) - if you say OK - log-on website and Accept the match - play the game - check if the Challenger has given a Result - report your result on the Web Site together with your replay upload The match results will be processed Live NOTE - The match results will be processed Live - If your playing rematches, always take turns in challenging (abuse) - Both players must always report there personal results and replays Replays on report All uploaded replays should be saved useing BWL/PenguinePlug ICQ contacting - PLease dont just challenge players over the Website without talking to them 1st in op JSL or ICQ - rename your ICQ name to your B.net acc name ( it helps) - make a seperate ICQ/JSL friends list on ICQ If you have any result problems contact JSL-ADMIN via ICQ to get it sorted JSL works a bit like the OLD WGT system, but without the bot!
**UPDATE** + Show Spoiler +Here's a little update on the servers, I've been playing on all of them a bit so here's my first hand expirience... 1.WCGZone has seen some improvement, I have seen a little bit more players active on Gamon. And it's 16 man tourney ran very smoothly, the winner of which was Darki. If anyone is interested in joining WCGZone the new season starts around the 2nd or 3rd day of January. It still offers some pretty awsome prizes so if your interested just sign up. 2.The Abyss is somewhat active at it's peak it holds give or take 220 players at one time, the skill level in the abyss varies a lot, so anyone can play. 3.The fish server holds a lot more people than the abyss during peak korean time. But the skill level is also higher than the abyss, like I said before not a good place for newbies. 4.And lastly the Brain Clan, I was shocked to find 15,000 players this morning at 3:00 AM. If you want a game quick that's the place to go, the skill level varies alot. It is a great place to play some hardcore BW! A downside to it is that there are quiet a few hackers there. I played 10 games (Im 6-4 hehe ) and ran into two hackers map hacking in those 10 games. There names are as followed just incase you ran into them... bboru-terranT1 and Feel_[B.BQ]. 5.JSL; I believe that the person running that ladder has given up on it, because I could no longer sign up and he made a post in his forum that said he has given up on BW, so im guessing that the ladder is no good because not many players signed up on it. Just a little update from me to you.
Hope this helps to keep you playing the greatest game ever... BroodWar.
PS Share your opinions if you think I'm right or wrong. Anything that you find good/bad about the ladders listed. Or other ladders that are good enough to be shared. I would like to make this thread have discussing value.

I think you mean NIC, and I think that's part of the brain server.
And I haven't tried the Brain Clan that's why I did'nt put it down. Don't know if it's good or bad or its activity rate.
[Edit] Corrected myself.

NIC is a part of brain, not fish

so this topic is "Go join WCGZone!", you got me, i'm DLing GameOn again : ) c ya east

There is ...
NTC (Polish Server)
BrainClan (private server like ngi)
NIC (sub-server of BrainClan, which is less populated, but higher skill level)
I don't know specific infos about them, but I know that those are the other 3 servers to play on.

If you haven't played a game yet under your name, just go under "My Zone" and press the Edit button. You can only do that once every 24 hours. So make sure you have your B.net account made before you edit it on WCGZone.
If you played games already, you can't edit it until next month. But if you really want to play A. I'll play you or B. Make a new name.

Well I dunno deadhaji. I beat joohyunee yesterday which was like totally wth happened. He's like C+ or something and I'm like D+.

I prefer playing on fishserver. I tried theabys but my on gamingtime it´s very empty there. Fishserver is not too bad for foreigners. They made a website for foreigners, I think it´s fuc.fishbattle.net You can read an english instruction and some korean words for example to create games with korean keyboard layouts. So you don´t have to wait 5 minutes for a game and it becomes comfortable as any other ladder. TRY IT http://www.fuc.fishbattle.net
|
can anyone write up a thing for
BrainClan, NIC, and NTC and add to the main thread with the other ladders ?? Thanks ~

"My Zone" then go to the month of December 12.2006 it's right next to the name it's small but it's there. :p

Could someone list all rating types of the ladders? I know brain use ELO since that is the only one I tried yet.

Prizes from WCGZone....
The prizes for October league will be same as September league, as follows:
1st Place: Intel Extreme Edition CPU , Vonia Headset, Razer Mouse, WCG Stickers 2nd Place: Intel Extreme Edition CPU , Vonia Headset, WCG Stickers 3rd Place: Intel Extreme Edition CPU , WCG Stickers
Prizes will be shipped out early next week.
All that combined is worth about $1000, they can give out big prizes because they have sponsors. But there aren't many players on WCGZone so it's hard to find a game overall its currently the best ladder available WE JUST NEED MORE PLAYERS!
Novermber and December Leauge is a 2 Month Tourney their will be prizes for the winners, you can still have time to play in the tourney!
Qualifiers for December Leauge tourney from November are...
SC Top 8: 1. Darki[CKG] 2. sweetkiss 3. Derelict 4. RCI-Zeratuls 5. tot)xiaozi( 6. JangRyO 7. BuGzlToOnl 8. Raynor22
They are going to take the Top 8 from the December Leauge and make a 16 Man Tourney their will be PRIZES!

What time is WCGZone most active? Right now, I don't see any games and there are 3 people in the channel, inactive.

sure? tell me one ladder that has a good anti-hacker/abuse system and a good amount of players online..
those koreans servers are good, but its hard to get ladder games if you don't speek korean since they whisper you in their language and no matter how much you say that you aren't korean, they will keep whispering you in korean..
if I cared about layout I would be in gg.net, not here.. or playing warcraft.
anyway, thx for your post.

an easy way to play (at least on brainclan) is to spam your rank with a plus sign attached to the end of it (ie. 1000+) then /r anyone who responds to you with a game name and host asap. or you could pick someone who is spamming their rank in the channel and message the game name and host it. If they want to play you then they'll join your game, otherwise they won't and its back to square one. it doesn't take much effort or time at all
theres no need to talk to them beyond this at all really. the only problem i have is with koreans not having the map i hosted and leaving because of a slow upload
brainclan hasnt any antihack/abuse systems (other than the account activation thing) that i know of, but personally i couldnt care less if anyone hacks against me unless its a nation/clan war/tournament
|
i would like to start of by saying how BM TT1 is all the time on his NIC server, let him be he dont know of what he is talking about. BrainClan server is the better server.
|
|
What maps are commonly played on brain clan server? Thanks alot for the easy click on registry add.
|
|
BuGzlToOnl: can you add somewhere that you dont need to register for brainclan, and that you just need to create an account on their server like you would on bnet

Hey I played a couple games in the Brain Server today. They were insane, it took about 2-3 minutes for each game to start but they were all worth it. Right now im 4-3 if anyone want's to play me their my name is BuGzlToOnl.

im gonna try out the wcgzone it seems its the best for noobs!\~
EDIT: can someone try to get gg.net and tl.net to post a wcgzone ladder news post? so that we can get lots more players?

How in the world do you count the games on Abyss O_O i looked at their RULES section and its under construction O_O wtf!

true that!~

Thanks BuGzlToOnl
good stuff
|
|
how do i see my record on wcgzone?
|
eh add in there somewhere that the games need to be played in one on one mode to count as ladder as well, and the way you said that you dont need to register for the site and just need to create an account on their server is a little confusing i think
|
to play on brainclan, you double click their reg file, enter their gateway, make an account and wait 12 hours... then what do you do to play? to play ladder do you need to be on the channel?
|
as said in the first post, hit the channel button and enter the second channel down from the top (the 1000+ ladder channel). then play in one on one mode
|
Does any Korean have the Korean Map Pack that they can upload somehow. I keep getting kicked off everygame in a every korean ladder, just because I don't have the map. And they don't want to wait to wait for me to download... :p
This would be greatly appreciated by me and every "foreigner" that plays in the korean servers.
|
Isnt maybe wcgzone the reason to why we still dont have wgtour back?
|
i dont think so ..... it has nothign to do with wgt!~

For the wins to count for WCGZone the game must be WCG Saturn 1.
The map pack can be found on Gamon open Gamon up and then go to the current leauge that is active; you should so a tab that says "Map Download" click on it and enjoy the games.
And yes you must play someone with the WCG Icon and have Gamon for your win to count.

Go into "My Zone" and appeal the loss with the replay. They should give you your points.

Sorry forgot about JSL... write me up a how to on JSL and I'll edit it on the main page.
|
How to JSL http://www.jsl.de.gg
1. You need ICQ http://www.ICQ.com
2. Signup -click on the ladder you want to play eg: JSL 1on1, Low 1on1, Low 2on2, Team Mucho -select your language (near Login en./ger) -click on SignUp (below Login) -use the form to register
3. Getting games.
As a Challenger (you are challenging someone) - Challenge a Player for a match via ICQ or on Battle.net EUROPE op JSL - if player wants a game - log-on to the Website and Challenge that Player - check if the Player has Accepted you Challenge on zthe Website - play the match, (bo1) - report result on the Web Site together with your replay upload
As an Acceptor, (you are being challenged)
- A Player challenges you useing ICQ or in op JSL, Bnet (europe) - if you say OK - log-on website and Accept the match - play the game - check if the Challenger has given a Result - report your result on the Web Site together with your replay upload The match results will be processed Live
NOTE - The match results will be processed Live - If your playing rematches, always take turns in challenging (abuse) - Both players must always report there personal results and replays
Replays on report All uploaded replays should be saved useing BWL/PenguinePlug
ICQ contacting - PLease dont just challenge players over the Website without talking to them 1st in op JSL or ICQ - rename your ICQ name to your B.net acc name ( it helps) - make a seperate ICQ/JSL friends list on ICQ
If you have any result problems contact JSL-ADMIN via ICQ to get it sorted
JSL works a bit like the OLD WGT system, but without the bot!
Anti-hack posibilities: Basically you can play on any Privat server or Gateway if both players have a JSL account and agree to report there results on the JSL Website. So it could be possible to play 2 Ladders at the same time using there anti-hack system !

Done.

good i will try couple of them after final exams over
|
I didnt register to all of them.
But I particularly LOVED theAbyss.
It looks awfully like PGT, has very nice organized page, and its freaking easy to get started. Took me not even 3 minutes to make account and start gaming. :D
And I think its growing, there were some nice amount of people online.
I was going to try BrainClan first but the page is all in korean and discouraged me I cant even see the characters, only ??? ?? ????? ??? ???? ? ? ? Same thing with Fishserver (though I wouldnt go there cuz Im kind of noob)
And WCG is emptyyyyyyyyyy... no one plays WCG. People only register to get that tag. Never seen a single game being made >_<
|
Could someone please tell me how to make ladder games on the fish server. And does anyone have a map pack?
Also, dammit, I still havn't recieved a confirmation email from abyss.
Hah. For any you hotmail users, hotmail automatically sorts it as junk. Retards. Maybe I should change from the shitty email service I've used for the past 5 years.

WCGZone has the most potential, it is growing however. I saw 100+ increase with a lot of good players. Gamon actually does have people on now almost 24 hours a days (or at least all the times I checked) not many players, but it's better than nothing.

The month season ended early because they are holding a special tournament this december. The new season should start 2-3 after the new month which is January.
However you can still sign up and register.

there will never be a replacement for pgt...

Polish StarCraft Ladder (PSL) www: http://www.ladder.lmrb.net/ server: NetCraft (IP: 81.0.225.184) Type: atm only 1v1, if successful, 2v2 will be added in the future Maps: all MotW: Yes (currently: Gaia, Luna) How good: for all ranks, surely not as good as koreans on PGT , but top polish players have some skills ;-)
Everybody can play as long as you have acc and understand how to report games.
P.S: in case of big interest I can ask for english version (not hard to do) ;-)
TL.net'ters are welcome ;-)

man the abyss is awesome it just needs more skilled players! T.T
was there a topic about abyss on gg and stuff yet?

yayi got two of my friends to join abyss server ^_^

**UPDATE**
Here's a little update on the servers, I've been playing on all of them a bit so here's my first hand expirience...
1.
WCGZone has seen some improvement, I have seen a little bit more players active on Gamon. And it's 16 man tourney ran very smoothly, the winner of which was Darki. If anyone is interested in joining WCGZone the new season starts around the 2nd or 3rd day of January. It still offers some pretty awsome prizes so if your interested just sign up.
2.
The Abyss is somewhat active at it's peak it holds give or take 220 players at one time, the skill level in the abyss varies a lot, so anyone can play.
3.
The fish server holds a lot more people than the abyss during peak korean time. But the skill level is also higher than the abyss, like I said before not a good place for newbies.
4.
And lastly the Brain Clan, I was shocked to find 15,000 players this morning at 3:00 AM.
5.
JSL; I believe that the person running that ladder has given up on it, because I could no longer sign up and he made a post in his forum that said he has given up on BW, so im guessing that the ladder is no good because not many players signed up on it.
Just a little update from me to you.
|
|
On the brain clan server does it tell you when your done waiting for 12 hours? Also, how do you check up on how many hours you've been on it so far?

that activity chart for abyss is for what time zone? cet?

Couple questions:
1. The VS link has been loading for a few minutes now with no progress, do you have another link? Is it in English?
2. The link to the English Fish site seems to be down, is there another one?
3. On NIC I go to register an account and it says "downloading terms of use agreement..." and never downloads it. Do I have to register on another site? EDIT: Okay, I just pressed cancel and tried again and it skipped that part. Working fine now.
4. For the 12 hours of BrainClan, does this apply to NIC as well? Or do you have to do a separate 12 hours on both servers?
|
joeh0e:
Yes, I believe that the time is CET.
eipdioin:
1. Haven't played on the VS send a PM to HaFnium. 2. That's the only one I know of, give it a couple of hours maybe it wil work in a bit. 3. Good you got 1 out of your 4 answered by yourself. 4. Brain Clan is 12 hour wait, that's what I've heard I'm only 8-8 on Brain, so I haven't had a chance to try a ladder game. And from what other players have said NIC is only an hour wait.
NIC is a subserver of BrainClan, so it's completly different. NIC is a higher level of gameplay and skill.
|
Thanks. Fish site is back up.
|
The new season of WCGZone has just started, its latest tournament event winner was Darki, as most of us already know.
WCGZone has promised another tourney like the previous one, with prizes aswell.
If interested sign up at www.wcgzone.com, everything has been reset you if you were previously registered with the icon tag, you must re-register again, to participate in the league.

The Link to the VS platform works for me. Yes, it's in English. I may save it as a file and send it to you. Currently, I can't find any other links. I also searched in the forums, as the writer said that he posted in TL.Net but i couldnt find any.

This is what I need to get myself back into the game again.. and I need to do that to hence.. start my casting again ^^

hmmm has anyone found that NIC is pretty inactive lately and or there are not many people playing it anymore?? recently when i log on there is like no one that has a ladder rating and when i got to brainclan there are tons of people on. like when i log onto brainclan in its "peak hours" there is not that many people playing on NIC and its hard to find a game. so as a result i switched over to brain which is prolly about the same skill if not better once u reach the higher ranks, and i havent ran into any hacking at all. most of them even use pp themselves so yeah...

Hello,
Sorry to bump this old thread, but my question is about this subject. I want to play 1v1's against same-skilled people, so i figured i needed to join a ladder. Since i'm low skilled and can not read korean I want to play on the abyss. http://starcraft.theabyss.eu/ . But when i try to register an account there, i never recieve mail. And since I have no account, i cant complain on their forum. I tried to contact them, but to no good till now. And given my needs. is theabyss even worth the hassle?
have a nice day
(oh, dammit, i feel such a fool, it's even a featured thread im bumping )

eh? You bumped a thread that was obviously pertinent to the question you had. No problems.
I don't know anything about abyss ladder, but maybe Idiotwind does, since he makes a suggestion for getting it more active among koreans etc, in this thread: http://teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=50777
I say PM him and ask for his advice :O Hope that helps, and GL.

Navane, i had the exact same problem
for some reason, alot of e-mail servers consider the confirmation e-mail to be spam. I had to check my junk/blocked mail folder for the confirmation e-mail. once i found it there, everything worked like a charm!
i hope that helps

It would be a good idea to update the first post with the new ladders that have appeared recently (i.e. GG.net's Carrier + op.ScT's ladder)
|
I haven't had a chance to play on Carrier and op.ScT's ladder, haven't played that much BW in the past couple of weeks. If anyone would be so kind as to write a how to on it would be highly appreciated and I'll post it in the first post. Giving you credit ofc.

thank's alot fot all this info!
but i still can't find any english version on http://www.brainclan.com./ ... it's impossible to register..i only get a box witch sais "move back" when i press register, next to login. at the risk of sounding stupid, i really can't see any english page icon.
and also: i have used the registry file. do i have to do anything else than be logged on the http://www.brainclan.com./ site for 12 hours? it's not starcraft i have to be logged on to for 12 hours?
can any1 please enlighten me? ive never done this.
thank's alot!

Hmm welcome to TL. You just bumped a really old post, because there is one good ladder now not mentioned. It's ICCUP: http://www.iccup.com/
All others are gone or have been surpassed by this ladder. Please check more recent threads before posting in old threads next time!
|
thank you. i wasn't aware of it being surpassed. i checked this post, and i couldn't see anything about iccup. i've actually heard of it, but i thought it was just another ladder. i haven't played for 6 years, so i'm not really into the sceene thank's, i will look into it.
|
I think Brainclan is still very active but as said before there is still a lot of hackers. The level is the best i found. If they only had an antihack launcher like iccup it would be the best ladder.
|
Thank you for this thread, it has inspired me to start playing again. Last time I tried to play again I gave up because of the BNet ladder being removed and non-ladder games being all but dead.
If I can actually find games, I can play! yay!
|
bugzitooni has done a great thing! He brought an old SCer back, how does it feel bugz?
and welcome back goosey.
|
if you need strat advice, feel free to ocme here and create a help topic, as long as you abide by the forums rules on help threads :D

shit, its awesome that this thread is basically useless now. Long live ICC and tSL!

shameless pointless bump?

Hi, sorry for the bump, but I am having problems with registering on both NIC and BrainClan. When I try to join the server, I go from 'Connecting to Faster Server', then to 'Activate Account'. After 'Activate Account' StarCraft automatically closes for some odd reason. With no error messages or pop ups at all. I have no idea why I am not allowed to join the server; can someone help me? I don't think it is because the server is full, it is fairly late in Korea.
|
Nevermind I got it to work.
|
|
Lol at the random bumps in this thread.
I'll try to update this in a day or two. Haven't really been paying much attention to this because ICCUP is pretty much the only ladder that people play on now a days, but I'll add the above one and fix abyss to ICCUP in a day or two.

Just replace the entire OP with an ICCUP link.
Or explain how to create an account and download the launcher since their site is so horrible to navigate.

Updated LordMartin sorry it took so long kept forgetting about it, I always seem to forget that theres a featured threads tab. =\
