Also, is that just me, or does Zest really hate disruptors? Because I think since his loss against Dear in round 1 he's made like 2 or 3 disruptors total across all matchups. | ||

I think Dear used them nearly every Ro16 game in Code S. But you'd expect any player to be mix it up every now and then. The only disruptors I remember from Zest were the ones on Lerilak Crest in the GSL semifinals. So even though they are clearly not unusable, he doesn't seem to like them much. I don't really think it's coinflippy in that sense, because at the end of the day timing and controlling your shots is up to you, as is dodging shots that come from the opponent. It's just that it's super high risk because of the cooldown, while the reward is anywhere between high and non-existent. As you said then the cooldown kicks in and you are pretty much fucked. It's even worse because you cannot really do anything else in the meantime when you control the shot (whole attention has to be on the shot), and if you do you probably won't kill anything with it. So i totally understand why Zest doesn't wanna use it very much, it makes a lot of sense imo. | ||

Zest is a solid player, if he can win, then he will win, especially on the SPL, he has to fight for his team. beside, is today a bad day for Zest? I would say NO considering his victory against Dear. So, today is not his bad day but he still can't win against a Zerg, that's the problem we should worried about. Zest may or may not have weak PvZ but you cant say it because of the game today. The same about Kung-fu Cup... He didn't play as his level, even you could see his mechanics ( which are matchup independent) were bad. Finally, he lost against Departure in proleague too, but he also defeated Dark and Rogue. And he looked quite on point while doing it so it's noy like he doesnt have a clue about PvZ. Again, Im not saying his PvZ is fine but we can't tell if it's good or bad by looking at today or Kung-fu Cup... | ||

But as I said earlier, he seemed really angry today, so I don't think we can take out much from that game. It really had that "ah fuck it" feeling. Also in general, the games with long technical breaks tend to end up weird.
