I already told you it's because the list was updated with the Snute match that Zest got dropped lower. On the current list (the sidebar didn't show it correctly yet), Zest is in 2nd with his win over Dear. Which is much better to look at.

But damn, top 5 looks really wonky to me (this list is so weird, I'm not going to take in seriously) I mean, the first 3 kinda make sense and then the list gets really weird. Which is probably because there was no reset from HotS to LotV. I think if Rain came out of retirement and won 2 matches he'd be instantly top 10.

If everyone would have started at the same elo again it would have been incredibly easy for players to gain elo by playing easier opponents (who would have had the same elo at the beginning and thus would have been considered "equal") No elo system will fix the problem that we basically have a lot of different scenes, Nerchio on 4, lol

I have to admit that the TLPD rankings are terrible. TLPD uses basic Elo for the rankings, while Aligulac uses a system based on Glicko. The big difference between the two is that the Glicko system adds decay which means players who don't have a match in a certain span of time will lose points. TLPD does not, which is why Life has been hanging around the 11th place for months, and will probably stay there. Also, I believe that Aligulac counts offline results differently than online results, which TLPD does not do. + Show Spoiler [April 25 Proleague spoiler] + Maru won today, so he passed him :/ Anyway, my opinion is that Zest is Best!

Unfortunately, I'm the only one doing it, it seems, and the TLPD system is old, so not really fun to update. I have been missing some days, and the backlog grows fast :x I try to keep the Korean leagues relatively up-to-date though. Anyway, I added a lot of stuff this weekend, so it should be more up-to-date in general. At some point, Nerchio was #2, and in the end he's #15, which shows you how unstable the rankings are at the top. I have to admit that the TLPD rankings are terrible. I don't think Aligulac has actual decay. After X months without recorded matches they just take players out of the ranking, I'm pretty sure Flash still has the same rating he did when he retired. And according to the site's FAQ, online and offline count the same (not sure if that has been updated since). Can you not remove inactive/retired/banned players from the TLPD ELO ranking? That seems really strange.

As for TLPD, I can't do anything, because the functionality is not coded in, and basically, I think we've pretty much given up on the current version of TLPD. There has been several TLPD 2.0 projects, but none of them is finished, but maybe one day... EDIT: Actually, never mind. I just noticed ForGG has lost his Elo: http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/hots/players/207_ForGG/games which I guess happens after 6 months of inactivity
