Zest has the dubious honor of playing Maru in the first round of stage 2 of the Korean qualifier. And the match after that would be against TY or ByuL.

Looking at the bracket... this is going to be pretty difficult for him to be able to qualify, but maybe he can advance through the Loser's Bracket?

His odds aren't amazing either way. Two of Dark/Inno/Stats go to the loser bracket guaranteed. Most of ByuN, herO, ByuL, Solar, Maru and TY will go to the loser bracket. Only 3 players make it out tomorrow. And it's hard to pick favorites.

He will have a good chance to qualify in the 2nd qualifier if he doesn't qualify tomorrow. The bracket should be much easier with the EU, NA, and first kr qualifier being done. Didn't watch the games against soO but his form seems to be pretty good right now(losing 2-3 to soO isn't that bad) so I'm hopeful he can qualify.

But if the guys who qualify through KR1 are 3 of the Koreans who are also in the NA and/or EU qualifiers (e.g. TY, Inno, herO), the NA and EU qualifiers won't make things that much easier for him.

Yeah that's true but as long as the top terrans get through before the 2nd qualifier I think he will be have a good shot.

So with this qualifer if a player doesn't make it through online they will have to go all the way to Katowice to try and get through the offline? That seems like such a huge investment to make.

edit: wonder where Dark is as well I'd have expected him to be in most of these
