In a way, they are a bit like mines drop (except mines shot make drone disappear forever, at the cost of risking the loss of the mines, or even the medivac).

And in the end he managed the wards, as well as almost everything thrown at him, and got to the RO16 anyway :p

Yes he managed in the end, but it wasn't very convincing. I think its safe to assume every protoss will try to do that against him in the future so he has to find a solution for dealing with this problem.

Well, Trust took a page of Stats' playbook given Stats used it heavily in Season 1 Final. soO handled it better as the series went on but still not good enough. He left lings near the mineral patches to kill the wards before they were triggered which was a good move but he couldn't kill the wards fast enough. I would add spine crawlers to kill the wards faster.

If he has to place a spine into every mineral line don't you think its already a win for the toss? Because its money he didn't spend elsewhere.

Well, that is true. However, the amount of lost mining time was already more than enough for soO to make like 2 spines per base. Trust did Stasis Ward like 6 7 times per match. In some occasions, the ward was triggered for the entire mineral line of 14 drones + queen and a bunch of lings. Even if he didn't want to build spine, he should commit to some range units like 1 or 2 Hydras/Rouches instead of 2 to 4 lings. Those lings just couldn't kill the wards fast enough given there was not enough surround surface due to the wards were placed next mineral patches.

If somehow Dark manages to beat Maru, hopefully his zvz will carry him trough a group victory. I see soO having great chance for another finals (to possibly lose vs Byun or TY??). He has to play Rogue, than probably Classic. But if hes second i don't see him beating Byun. What are the chances soO can win his group, or if Maru beats Dark he won't lose vs him?

I actually think SoO have quite a good chance vs Byun. SoO is a lot better at holding reapers compared to Dark, and Byun hasn't exactly been on his best form (not saying he's bad, but compared to how dominant he used to be, Byun is definitely beatable now). I think SoO has a great chance vs both Byun or TY, and I hope he doesn't drop out of his group. He needs to get Gold! Or at least another Silver I guess..

Well, soO has done it again. soO never failed to advance to the final if he made out of group stage in regular GSL seasons. So, it's very likely that soO will make it to another final.

It's crazy to think about, but yeah soO has a good/decent shot at making the finals once again
