I wouldn't call that nothing... Yup, he was one of the up and comers. Sure, he wasn't S class. But not many players are when they just start out. He was basically mid A-teamer status.

Mid A-teamer for young player is incredibly good achievement, if we consider that the biggest stars of modern BW, which are TBLS required years to simply break simple courage and/or make a name for themselves. Flash failed courage at 2005 year later he did it, Jaedong had like several courage attempts, Stork was progamer since 2004 and while he showed great results for a young player almost immedietly (taking top players from OSL series here and there) he made a real individual league splash in 2006-2007 while becoming proleague monster, bisu was first relegated to playing 2v2 but he showed potential in 1v1 and arose incredibly quick with his revolution vs Savior. But all of those were not immediete results, breaking into such established competition required incredible skill and luck, and generally required to do some incredible feat. Like Bisu taking Savior's "guaranteed" MSL and Flash taking Stork's guaranteed (haha yes... poor silver Stork) OSL. Considering Flash has the best results in BW history and is probably the most competetive BW player ever, his early OSL win was completely miracolous. He showed many weaknesses in his MSL run which happened barely WEEKS before. He mismacroed, mismicroed a lot (no one really talks about it now, seeing who Flash turned into). Yet he completely turned around his playstyle and mindgamed the shit out of more experienced and accomplished Stork in OSL finals. So a guy who breaks into the scene with an All-kill vs OZ and remains steady 50% winrate is more than enough to consider good. On a weaker team he could aswell be fielded twice or thrice as much.
