I have very mixed feelings about this article. It's great of course to hear from Scarlett but I feel she was used - it's written in a way that takes advantage of her to attack the subject of tolerance and such. Also the author could've easily left out the moronic twitch chat with retarded comments but that's what he actually targets with the article, to get more readers/views - he most probably gets paid per number of views.
People should focus on making Scarlett comfortable, and respect her a lot more. Especially in the case of public articles.
I think you're being a little ridiculous; it was a very good article that focused on what's important (Scarlett kicking ass and taking names) but also gave a complete perspective about the growing up that the e-sports community has to do. It sounds like you just wanted a fluff piece, maybe with some pictures of kittens and ponies thrown in too or something so everyone could be happy. That's not how journalism works though.
Anyway, I'm doing a SC2 fantasy league with some friends and was ecstatic to nab Scarlett on my team. FIGHTING!

... I sincerely doubt I need lessons of journalism, especially from someone who so easily resorts to insults.
I stand behind my words, the article could've been done much better.

I'm sure the mods will do a good job. Of course there is gonna be haters, but the supporters are gonna be overwhelming. Yeah, true. I think her doing this, shows just how courageous she is. I somehow wish there was some way that she could be protected from all the morons... so that she only sees the good stuff. But that's not possible.

You're upset that the author included Twitch chat - perhaps the most perfect and succinct way to demonstrate how casually awful people on the internet can be - and think he did it for page views. Yeah, your words definitely speak for themselves.

This is not a place for arguments. Take them to PMs.
Looking forward to the AMA, and I honestly feel the danger of a bunch of trolls ruining the whole thing is hugely overstated. She usually gets a very good reception from the community.

If you all talk about this forever, it will never go away.....

So, Scarlett's doing an AMA on Reddit 2 p.m. eastern, about 18 hours from now. Get your questions ready!

Out of the groups, I'd say she probably has the easiest, but I wouldn't count the other players out. I think she and desbro will be moving on. Those are my fanboyish hopes at least.

She avoided Hitman, Avilo, Incontrol and Nathanias, praise jeebus.
