Expected a finals showing from HyuN, but predictability just killed his chances of reaching the championship. Losing to NaNiwa isn't bad, but I expected more from HyuN despite his ZvP troubles. Now HyuN just has to stop being predictable in his builds because his greed is always leading him to lose matches. His games against TLO, Life, DRG and NaNiwa all had him lose because he was playing far too greedy, and in WCS NA, he has to stop being so simple in his builds if he wants a chance to reach the Ro8.

Maybe it's my blind fanboy bias making excuses but perhaps HyuN did that same build over and over again against Naniwa to hide his ZvP builds for WCS America group? He plays Crank first and HerO who is in his group is also at IEM watching HyuN's games live?

Either way hope he keeps his spirits high and crushes some nerds at WCS!

HyuN gets through Crank in the first match of the day with a 2-1 score. Got caught by a strong all in from Crank in game 2 and almost got caught in game 3 but held with some great Macro, decision making and nice micro!

Poor HyuN he's worked so hard

after he dominate game 1 I thought it was possible for him to win 2-0 but he ultimately suffered losing 1-2. He was my last hope for blizzcon.
I feel so depressed now.

HyuN qualified for the final qualifiers in the global qualifiers for Red Bull Battlegrounds (whew, sure was a lot of qualifiers used there). He may not have made it to Blizzcon, but if he reaches the actual tournament and does well, I'll be just as glad.

Scary set of players in the Ro4 for the Red Bull Battleground global qualifiers. HyuN has to face off against either Symbol, INoVation or Sora then go on to face the winner of the other bracket. I can definitely see HyuN defeating Symbol with his amazing ZvZ lately, and Sora is consistent in his ZvP, but HyuN can take him on in a Bo5 or Bo7. Real threat is INoVation because I don't see him losing in a TvZ anytime soon, even against HyuN. Ideal bracket would be HyuN facing off against Symbol in the Ro4, then facing Sora in the finals if he can defeat INoVation.

INoVation is definitely scary but he doesn't have that god like aura around him anymore(At least I don't think he does) I think HyuN can take him out if need be, though I agree I would much rather him face Symbol and Sora...

HyuN got a nice little invite to the Dailymotion Cup, but this tournament is stacked and it's only six players announced so far. Polt, INoVation, Jaedong, San and ForGG are incredibly good and I suspect the player pool is only going to improve.

An update on HyuN's groups for Dailymotion Cup and HomeStory Cup VIII. His Dailymotion Cup group consists of Jaedong, Zanster and San, while his HSC group is Happy, HuK and Harstem. Both are groups HyuN can advance from without too much problem I believe with HyuN's strong ZvZ for Dailymotion Cup, and the three foreigners shouldn't pose much of a problem.

I forsee HyuN doing very well in HSC, As I posted in that thread not too impressed by the majority of the line up to be honest, as long as he doesn't hit TaeJa, HerO or MC early he should be fine and even then he can definitely beat them! I smell a HyuN victory incoming :D
