Well, as many mistakes as he made, as many subtle genius BW mechincs related stuff he did. So eventhough he lost his first SC2 match, I see SO much potential in the Tyrant. Especially knowing that they've been practicing for only some time now.

He played ok I guess. I think the counter attack was smart but it felt like he was a bit indecisive. He should have sniped the cybercore then the robo then tried to go for the natural nexus. Instead he was sort of trying to kill the defending stalkers + the pulled probes? He sort of went for the pylons powering the gateways aswell...
Don't know. Can't judge to much from that game.
I just hope the koreans don't judge to harshly.

If I were jaedong, I'd take my money and retire unless I really liked SC 2 a lot. He doesn't really have anything to prove and has probably done decently well financially for your average progamer.

btw I'm not really advocating it as if he can't be great at SC 2...but it's so difficult to play 2 games at once, then learn an entirely different one and throw away all the muscle memory and training you've had for years and years. Just an immensely hard process unless he really craves the lifestyle.

He's done a lot more then decent as he was the best player in the world for like 2 years lol (2008-2009 for sure).

Also he still gets a good salary I imagine so I hope he doesn't retire and how dare you think he should!

Dong's loss comes from the fact that he is playing a protoss and its hard to understand that
one race can be so OP you cannot afford to base trade and lose your bases while making 20 spines.
However that counter attack was genius. If he hadnt split his units but killed the pylon at the top
he would turn the battle.
