that was exactly the problem I had with him this year. he was always top tier, but not quite good enough to beat the very best players.
but great that he finally broke through and managed to win a tournament.

its more the chokes vs zest, and losses to dear/trap that shouldn't have happened.

Gratz to TY, he probably worked really hard for this, I'd imagine. Also good on him to cash in such a large check, should be more than enough cash (plus GSL money) for the next few years

He just showed a lot of builds in WESG. Plus the last few times he streamed he was just playing for fun, e.g. mass battlecruiser styles, strats he didn't use in any legit games.

Since the WESG replay pack has been released, I can confirm that Kelazhur beat TY with the exact same builds he used against Korea in NationWars, on the same maps.

Watched the vods now. Looked a bit sloppy overall but he advanced in first so all is well.

Well done! He did seem a bit unfocused in the beginning, as he said himself in the interview, but after that it was solid. Even if he does make a mistake here and there he seemed much stronger that the opposing zergs.
I also liked how he looked in the interview. It's easy to read too much into things like that but he seemed to be in a better mood and more relaxed than usually. Maybe that tournament win has really settled some things for him.
