KESPA made a big mistake (Unless what Blizzard offered them for BW was so horrible that it's still more profitable to broadcast SC 2 and take a viewership hit and hope to get it back eventually).

We are already burned out as viewers. I personally am not watching tournaments because I'm just not interested at the momment. I'm waiting for HoTs. And I've heard that proleague attendance went down significantly after the hybrid format started. AND the saddest thing was that the OSL finals were packed... Now you can draw the conclusion. Proleague attendance has been steadily declining for like the past 5 years lol.

BW did lose viewers since the peak over the years but it still had/have a strong solid core of fanbase. Just like with SC2, the peak was with the release hype when millions played the game and today the playerbase isn't "that" big for a game of sc2's popularity. There was a thread about this some time ago and the conclution was that over 1 million players abandoned sc2 since season 1. That doesn't mean that sc2 is doing bad in the foreigner scene or anything, but its pretty stupid to like mock BW when SC2 have dropped alot in viewers and players after only 2 years.

There is a significant difference between the numbers five years ago and now, but I bet you your bottom dollar this guy has never seen any numbers on the matter and doesn't actually have any idea what he is talking about. Yet he chooses to share us his two cents with such confidence. Mindboggling. I mean, declining but at what rate and how steadily?

Korean Air OSL 1 was in the korean national airport's hangar , Korean OSL 2 was the first OSL outside of Korea in Shanghai under the oriental pearl tower . JinAir even after canceling the flight to China was still at an awesome war memorial place . OSL's production is always top notch and with the popularity of BW and BW progamers in korea the finals are almost always packed .
