There is a real problem with people who try to be all hip and creative with marketing and mess with forces - like say I don't know internet memeage - that they don't quite understand.
Srsly couldn't anyone see this coming?
So depressing (especially after how mature and cool "the community" has been about everything up till this point - what a contrast - credit to TL and its mods I guess).
I hope they just zap the thread and the concept into the aether asap and move on. At the end of the day if their players can manage to play some good games, this awkward phase will be forgotten.

More than likely they didnt include the first round on purpose. IPL 4 was stacked enough that by the second round, it was mostly known people. But still, the first round had a ton of random bad people like my homie Dalguno so they probably just didnt count it.

As a Scarlett fan I gotta say, time to get off this sinking ship known as Eclypsia. Seriously, there HAS to be a better team out there for you and your fans will support you, especially after the april fools and "meme" stuff. If you leave now everyone will respect the fact that you gave Eclypsia a shot, realized along with the rest of us that they really don't know what they're doing, and left for higher ground.

They make a contest like "make fun of Scarlett in the easiest way possible and win coaching!" that's not a team, that's exploitation. It's either that, or they are MASSIVELY out of touch with reality.

The April Fool's thing was a disaster, the meme thing is sheer idiocy, and their little Colosseum or whatever it was called was really awkward and poorly produced. It just seems like a very... immature organization, I don't know.

ive never even heard of them until scarlett joins and after seeing that meme thread i dont think i want to know any more about them it should be very obvious that asking people to make memes about there players after picking up scarlett was jsut not a good idea at all
i had high hopes for her after IPL but i dont think eclypsia has what it takes to get her anywhere good

Yeah... Joining a new team is always more risky than it sounds like. Even if the people running it are nice. Experience and reputation counts a lot when choosing a team. Eclypsia's reputation is next to none.The only thing they have is recruiting Artist and Welmu (which are far from great players).

Its a shame the team doesnt seem to be panning out well. They have some pretty okay players and seem to be reasonably well-off financially but that's not always everything.
That April fools joke was one of the worst of the day and now this meme thing is absolutely atrocious. It went about as well as any reasonable person could have expected it to, which says a lot. Obviously Scarlett knows more than we do and can make the best decision on her own, that doesnt stop me from praying she didnt get herself in any binding contracts.

I hope Scarlett wasn't too upset at all the BS that arose in that thread.
Hopefully they will learn from these last 2 atrocities and step up their game because if they continue on down this road they are going to be the laughing stock of SC2 teams.
Good luck to Scarlett in whatever she decides to do as far as teams go. Hopefully if you're stuck on or staying with Eclypsia they learn from their mistakes.

after finally learning what the horrible april fools joke was (i remember reading the thread and its a good thing that i didnt remember the team name because i didnt follow it long enough to find out it was an april fools joke since it was so depressing) i really hope scarlett hops to a different team very fast, this team is on fire and theres no chance for an emergency landing, when a team makes an advertising thread and TL locks it because they think the thread is that bad its a huge warning sign and i pray that scarlett takes one look at that meme thread and get out of her contract (hopefully she doesnt have one and can get to an actual team) the last thing she needs is this sort of exposure with all the controversy around her personal life

Eclypsia is distressing me, the players already on it seem okay, but the PR department is fucking shambles, I hold out hope that they will improve (naive optimism here), but if not I hope that Scarlett can and does upgrade to a better team when the year is out.

Supporting Scarlett doesn't necessarily mean being okay with the stupid shit her team does without her permission. She herself made multiple posts showing her disdain with the meme idea; I don't want to put words in her mouth, but I think it seems like she thought it was a bad idea.

Oh yeah for sure, I'm 100 percent behind Scarlett all the way, and I'm real excited for MLG anaheim, I hope she gets a match on the main stage, and I hope that the crowd aren't dick heads, and obviously I hope she dominates her enemies, but that being said, it takes quite alot for me to dislike a team, even after all the drama that surrounded EG over time, I still don't dislike them, but between their April fools joke and this meme contest, I have a bad taste in my mouth.
And its such a crying shame too, they have alot talent that is associated with the team (not just players, casters too - I'm looking at you foxy <<), that don't deserve to have their name dragged through the mud just because PR is being run by a dummy.
So behind scarlett 100%, but eclypsia please get it together.
