Waiting on IPL to release the replays, and Scarlett to throw together a proper replay pack. Sorry if this has been asked before, but what gear does Scarlett use? We know about the crappy laptop, but I'm sure she didn't use a shitty mouse and keyboard as well. :D I know she uses a Razer Blackwidow keyboard and Razer Banshee headset, not sure about the mouse. If someone can track down a picture of her where you can see the mouse, I'm sure I can pick it out (likely either an Abyssus, Deathadder, or Mamba)

The keyboard market has mostly done away with the horrible, mushy designs which dominated on the low end, in the early 90s, with their painfully slow key action. I still use buckling spring, myself, for its reliably crisp key action and bullet-proof durability. But more so just out of habit. I can't argue for its fundamental superiority any more, with so many perfectly good mechanical boards on the market. And I'd argue anyone who says they're a better player because they use one mechanical board rather than any of well over a dozen others is milking an endorsement.

Razer co-sponsored the Playhem tournament, so that may have been an obligation for the duration of the event. Not that she's necessarily stopped using it since, mind. You don't want to sponsor a player and then have them play sub-optimally because they're adjusting to new gear.

SOTG PAX - Scarlett Credit to InControl, in particular, for offering a thoughtful contribution. They spend about four minutes on the subject of Scarlett. Of course, some will have already listened to the podcast MP3. But it's nice to have the VOD now.

Using one right now too. Gamer keyboards are normally crap and aren't any better than other keyboards.

But.. but.. THEY GLOW KEBERT. They glow... O_O This is the one biggest reason I can't bring myself to buy a new mechanical board, despite the growing impracticality of owning only PS/2 keyboards (and some USB->PS/2 dongles). The key action may be fine on these new boards. But paying more to make a keyboard look ridiculous? No thanks. Unicomp seems to be the logical source for new USB buckling spring boards following the mechanical design, if ever Model Ms become an unacceptable (or excessively rare) option.
