Life won't go. I have some speculations as to what may have transpired.
We all know that Life wanted to go to MLG, even gave up his Indoor Games spot for it and got a lot of flack for it from the Korean community. Then MLG downsized the tournament and announced that they won't be inviting and paying for anyone.
Then Red Bull decided to hold Red Bull training grounds in LA around the same time as MLG, which meant if they were going to bring any Startale players to MLG, they wanted to be able to use them at their event as well. Life has OSL on the 25th, so he couldn't go before that, which meant he couldn't be at Red Bull Battlegrounds, which meant Red Bull didn't want to pay for him.
Then at the last moment right before Dreamhack, a lot of the big name Koreans cancelled. I think it wasn't Startale/Red Bull who paid for Life's way to DH. I think the people at Dreamhack didn't want the anti-hype from all the cancellations so they said "let's get one really big name that will make everyone not care about everyone that cancelled", and they got Life.
If Dreamhack didn't pay for Life, then Startale/Red Bull decided to pay for him at the last moment because some shit went down. Either way, I have reason to believe Life was very upset about the whole MLG thing. So there.
Nah dreamhack never pays for flights. They wouldn't have made an exception for life. Dreamhack routinely never had big name koreans until this year and did fine without them, so they wouldn't care if life came or not. I'm guessing redbull gave life the choice of DH or MLG and life chose DH.

If that had been the case, he would have been announced with all the other DH signups long before 3 days from the event. Life did want to go to MLG. There was no reason for him to suddenly choose DH, which had a slightly smaller prize pool, instead of defending his title at MLG.
my best memory of DH is easily when i got to take a picture with Life, that was insane and so good! i will nver forget his awesomness! sad that sjow won :/
When Sjow won and all his team mates came rushing to the booth to congratulate him you can see Life trying to congratulate him as well, but the booth is too crowded for him to be able to do it. I felt sorry for Life because Life was smiling and shit. In my eyes that's big, and it saddens me that he couldn't reach Sjow.
Life losing at dh to foreigners really hurt his stock. Everyone on meta predicting life to get knocked out in groups! Life's going to finish first just to show them what's up!

I always say that people change their opinions of players too quickly. Life had an off weekend, but I see no reason he would lose straight-up games in his group.
