Qualifying for Code A is somewhat likely, and then it's one Bo5 which can be draw dependant. I think the most likely scenario is qualifying for code A with a somewhat shaky run and losing in the Bo5, either that or qualifying for Code S and losing in 4th or 3rd place, given the level of the 2016 season 1. I know that casters like Wolf and fans always overhype what it takes to 'make it in Korea' and how foreigners and even players like Polt would never stand a chance. This is pretty delusional. The very top WCS/EU players have a level that stands a very realistic chance to reach top32, top24, or in a very lucky universe top16+ of GSL Code S in my opinion. Realistically, there will never be a chance to prove this since we won't see more than 0-2 attempts per year to qualify on average, so the myth of the skill disparity between mid-KR and top-EU will probably live on. A lot is left to draws though. There's a pretty large skill disparity in Korea. I think this is important to take into consideration when talking about GSL/SSL runs. I'll keep a close tabs on the dates for season 2 qualifiers since it's something I might want to try it out, especially if I manage to increase my level with 10-15% in the next few months.

Maybe next year they should make some kind of cross final between WCS and the korean leagues. I want to see more of how foreigners would go against Top tier Koreans and if there is really is a high a skill disparity. I could only potentially see that in IEM and other major tournaments.

Sounds like you are looking forwards to Blizzcon AKA the 2016 WCS finals

SNUTU! :O I will be up at whatever ridiculous times it takes to see you compete in GSL. I still remember that series against Classic you won, and thinking "90% of KR Zergs wouldn't have pulled that off". If you do decide to go through with it then best of luck! The fans are watching for you :D

I strongly believe that even if you don't increase the level with 10-15% in the next few months, you should still go and try this out. Regardless of what happens, you will benefit - if you reach far and win then hell yeah, if not - then you still get a huge confidence boost when you know you have tried against the best. Plus, the training on the KR ladder. Plus, you know, Snute in Korea amagad <3 !

But - look at what he's achieved lately, playing in "foreign" events. Back to back finals (WCS winter and gold series) and on the fast track towards Blizzcon - it's pretty impressive stuff. As long as Blizzard upholds these rules of separating Korea and the rest of the world, I think Snute should stick to the "foreign" world. Anyway, it's a great time to be a Snute fan - so much excitement lately and coming up(tomorrow already with Kung Fu Cup!). Keep up the great work, Snute! btw, are you back in Norway, or are you playing Kung Fu Cup from Asia somewhere?

He barely nearly won a game against byun and he was rekt by dear. In kung fu cup he could go up against Zest, Ty, solar and stats. How well do you think he will perform at blizzcon. ppl say that, then Snute goes and 2-0's Rain, GSL S2 champ and 2-1's Classic, SSL S2 champ right after they win their championships. In a meta that kinda favours Zerg, Snute can go a long way IMHO
